JohnnyZ Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 When clicking on a popup menu in MacOS version, you can type a letter on the keyboard and the list will jump alphabetically to that part of the list; however, this doesn't seem to be working on a Windows workstation. Is this a missing feature, or am I missing a particular configuration?
LaRetta Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I also received a report that this breaks on Windows 7. Upon searching, I can find no indication that it has been discussed or even reported. Can someone on Windows verify? It works fine on Maverick. Pop-up Menu used to work fine on Windows XP ... you could type a letter and it would jump and if you typed fast, it would jump as deep as the first three characters.
LaRetta Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Well, I finally found one reference where it was posted as a bug but no response from FileMaker. http://forums.filemaker.com/posts/7c43791609
JohnnyZ Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Still no answer from FM on this? And I thought that popups were a primitive feature that had long been finalized cross-platform. This is a real setback for the user interface.
liltbrockie Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I reported this bug to Filemaker today VIA online chat support. The guy confirmed the bug gave me a case ref. and said he would get someone to look into it.
