April 8, 201411 yr I am trying to update FileMaker 13 on my Mac system. I have spotlight off for various reasons. Apparently, you need to have it on to be able to update. Has anybody else this problem?
April 9, 201411 yr Yes, Spotlight has to be on for the updater to find the original (and indexed ) application to update. Turn on Spotlight, do the update, and if you're certain you don't want Spotlight, and I can't understand why, turn it off again.
