Is there a way to 'loosely' relate tables?  For example, matching records based on their addresses:  "12-34 Maple Ave" on one record in a table to match with "34 Maple AV" on another record with a table?  While the exact match is always best, sometimes the need to filter based on 'loose' criteria is important.

Thank you:)

L.

Yes and no. No, you can't define a relationship as an "approximate match". However, if you can define exactly what an "approximate match" means, then you can use a calculation to express that definition and use it either as a match field or a portal filter.

For example, you could define a relationship to match on any individual word of the address, so that "12-34 Maple Ave" would match all of these:

"34 Maple AV"

"56 Maple Ave"

"12 Elm Street"

"79 Maple Street"

"81 Oak AV"
