I have a set of related DBs that I wish to put on our intranet. I have set access on the files fully open (read, write etc. all on). The whole this is currently being developed on my OS X Mac.

Now, when I open the files with IE v5.5, I can create new records as indicated by the status area on the left. When I open them with Netscape 6.2, I can only show all (can't edit, create new etc.). With Netscape 4.7 (style sheets on), I only see the Fern Green interface, not the Blue & Gold 1 that I specified. I can, though, add new records. The problem is that I lose all my script-controlled buttons under Fren Green.

The final application is intended to run under FMP 5.5 unlimited from a Windows NT server.

Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks, Dave

The HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML and Java interpreters in the various browsers work very differently and produce different results from the same piece of code.

The only way to minimise this is to either write your own web pages (custom web publishing) or make all your intranet users use the browser that works best (IE has always been the most forgiving, and can now handle JavaScript and JScript "better")
