We have installed FileMaker Server 18. We have added a custom SSL certificate to FileMaker Server 18. On FileMaker Pro, we can view the green encrypted symbol and can able to access the Server DB. But on FileMaker WebDirect, we can't open the Server DB using the Domain name. We have received the error "No such file or directory" on connecting externally. On the internal network, we have received the error "Rejected request from RFC1918 IP to public server address" when we opening the WebDirect using Domain name.
Can anyone help us to solve this issue?
We have a Filemaker 17 Server set up and running on a mac mini (sorry, I can't get on right now to find out which OS it is running). We have set up everything so Web Direct can be used to access a web page for making appointments and filling out forms. We have several different versions running on several different servers (eye doctor's offices) but this one won't work.
We have ...
Set up web direct on the server, installed the certificate, gotten an external ip address, forwarded the ports, turned off all firewalls and it still doesn't seem to work.
I have used fmsadmin to see if web direct is running. When I try to start it, fmsadmin says it's running.
Yesterday when I was comparing the processes running on the mac mini FM Server is running on to a different mac mini running FM Server I noticed there are a lot fewer processes related to web direct running on the computer that the web page won't open on.
Does anyone have any ideas that can help me figure out what is causing this? And, if you need more information, let me know
I changed a field from a plain number field to a calculation field so I could automatically enter some data. Disaster immediately struck upon hitting the OK button and all of my data was wiped out. I have an excel file with the raw numbers in it, but when i try to import the data, it won't let me enter it into the new calculation field. If I change it back to a number field, I can then reimport the data, but then can't change the field back to a calc field with losing the data all over again. How do I get around this?
Here's some details: I'm entering emissions data for engines. When I start a new engine record, it automatically generates six child records, one for each emission type. One of the six emission types (child records) is a calculated field derived from data in the engine's fields and the other five need to be entered manually:
If ( POL = 42401 and Engine Data::Fuel Type = "Diesel";
.09631*Engine Data::Max Fuel Usage Rate/Engine Data::Max Rated Bhp;
If ( POL = 42401 and Engine Data::Fuel Type = "LPG/Propane";
.46948*Engine Data::Max Fuel Usage Rate/Engine Data::Max Rated Bhp;
The calculation works correctly, filling in the one field like it's supposed to. I just can't figure how to get my previously entered data back into their respective fields.
Thanks very much!
Using web direct on iPad for the 1st time with iPadOS and pretty much a nightmare of constant screen redraws.
Can anyone confirm they’re seeing similar issues? Can’t use Go as need Base Elements.
Any techniques to limit screen redraw on Web Direct?
iPadOS draws editing tools at the bottom of screen when the user is editing a field. I’m theorizing Web Direct is dealing with this extremely poorly.
I am exploring accessing my solution through web direct using fmphost.
solution works fine in server mode.
however in web direct it says I do not have a sufficiently new version of scribe: I need > 2.15.
problem is that I’m running 3.08 on my local Mac.
is this an issue about file locations? Do I need to upload scribe or something?
