Running the solution with a newly installed FileMaker 18 Server on MacOS X works fine, upgrading to 18v4 the solution still runs well, with one exception; there is no WebDirect.

I have toggled all buttons for CWP, DATA API, and WebDirect in the admin console, I have also attempted all the restart options of the command line tool, this one:

```
fmsadmin restart wpe
```

amongst other; To no avail.

Where do I search for this error?

Port 443 nor 80 are available according to `lsof -Pn`

Is there a requirement change between FileMaker 18 Server and v4?

I uninstalled 18v4, and reverted to FileMaker 18 Server with no upgrades, and webd works fine.

Starting with 18.02 you have to install your own JRE. But it should have prompted you to install it when you enable the WPE in the admin console.

JRE was uploaded and installed according to instructions the first time around.

Yes, and yes, several times each prior to posting my initial question.

I gave up on FM18Sv4, I reverted to FM18S

i'm also now testing FM19S on linux, however I will have to rewrite the CWP as a proxy for either DATA API, or import / export of XML in order to iterate any further.

Sorry, I have no more ideas. I can tell you we've had a similar experience trying to upgrade from 18 to 19 on Windows. Very frustrating. We had to roll back to 18. I'm 99% sure it's a certificate issue but it's hard to troubleshoot when you don't have spare servers lying around.

Interesting, thanks for that. Our IT guys do it manually. There's one dept. in charge of renew/retrieving the certs, then they give it to the database server admins, who actually install them. I can do most tasks in the FMS admin control panel but don't have permissions for this. Such is the world of state government.
