I have a file where there are some scripts where the user can search for dates and see report layouts. The scripts don't work when using the browser. Why ?

Let's start with what you have not mentioned. First, the version of FMPro you are using. Second whether you are using IWP or CWP.

Since I am a mind reader I will answer your question as if you are using IWP.

Only certain scripts are allowed in IWP. Read your manual and see if the scripts you are running are those allowed by IWP for the version you are running. You may also find more information on those IWP scripts at FileMaker's Support/Knowledge Database.

Look at Bulletin # 107476 in the FileMaker Tech Knowledge base. It will provide a list of which scripts are supported by IWP. It's an article written for FMP 5.5 but, as far as I know, the info is still current.
