custom home page w/ instant web publishing

How can I make a custom home page that still links to FMPro databases open through web companion sharing? I understand how to make another page and put it in FMP's web folder, but I don't know how to re-link that page to the databases.

I suppose this requires CDML? FMPro doesn't seem to include any CDML tools/tutorials/reference. Is there any code anywhere I could just borrow? I'm really just trying to add a link back to our intranet site from the web companion home page.

Thanks!

IWP is WYSIWYG.

As a developer you must come up with a good db design which will intuitively take advantage of the WYSIWYG feature, for that is the way of IWP.

That or use CWP.

Good Luck

Hi:

I use a re-direction page as my home page and have it re-direct to a "home page" layout I made in the file. Then I have an object that has a script attached to it that goes to another page using the go to url script step.

For info on making a re-direct page, go here and download the FM Pro 6 unlimited administrator's guide. read the section on instant web publishing.

BTW, FMU comes with the CDML tool and reference file if you want to know about CWP. There is actually plenty of info out there.
