Hello,

I have a pretty simple soultion I am working with and works great with Pro, but does not work with IWP.

I have 2 overlapping field for tabs. One for the Tab Graphic, and one for the Tab Text. Both fields are set so they can not be entered in anyway. Below all that there is a button that is in the background. The effect that you get is, you click the Tab that you want, but what you are reallyl clicking is the button underneath it all.

Works great in Pro. With IWP it does not work.

Any Ideas?

Q: Why can't you use the tab graphic field as the button? Is the extra button truly necessary?

Filemaker objects with no background do not work in IWP. Set the object's background the same color as the layout's background.

Also, although globals do not have to be related to work in different tables in FM Client, they do in IWP, especially in portals. If the field is in a different table, relate them.

Try to use a completely transparent GIF for each "invisible" button in your layout (I've set up a container field for that purpose) and use that GIF as a button.

Can you explain this a some more this is some new territory.

I can not use the container fields as button, because I need each tab to fire the script differently.

I was working in the technique I saw in this link

I will also attach a sample file.

The attached file has a 16x16 transparent GIF and your database with the GIF inserted & used on the Main layout. There is a copy of the GIF's field for each button, each calls the script with the appropriate parameter.

BTW: although the layout displayed OK on my Mac, the fonts & graphics looked weird on my PC using Internet Explorer (via IWP).
