Sergeant Ron Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Im having a problem accessing my database that I've shared on the web. I can access it from my browser by entering the IP address from my computer or the WAN IP address that is given to me by my ISP, however when I try to access theis shared database from outside my network it wont connect. Ive set up my router to port forward the ip address of my computer (i.e. 192.168.1.2 to the WAN IP given to me by my ISP, however even though when I type in my WAN IP and I can access the DB from my computer, no one outside my network can access it. I set it to connect on Port 80 using TCP. Any suggestions?
Phillip Holmes Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Do you have XP firewall turned on? If so you will need to check the settings so that the port is open to requests on the local network.
