I'd like to suppress the "status area" in my IWP solution and add scripts and buttons for specific functionality. Is there a way to prevent the users from being able to activate the status area when they click on the little triangle in the upper left corner of the browser window?

If you have an Open Script, then just add Show/Hide Status area {Hide} then click on the "Lock" check box at bottom of Script Editor
