I cannot access my database outside my LAN.

IMac is on 192.168.0.3

FileMaker port is 591

If I type http://192.168.0.3:591 it all works.

If I replace my local IP with the IP address as listed in my Dlink router, I get "cannot connect to server"

Can anyone help?

Hi Kevin,

It's got to be a router problem because this really is not that hard. If the router is properly set up to forward traffic on port 591 to IP address 192.168.0.3 then it will work.

Thanks for that.

I've checked the router. it says start/end port 591. So, it should work. Is there any other way to troubleshoot this?
