I need to print out records displayed online in a filemaker 8 database. Preview view and print are both disabled for online, so I am wondering how I can either print the record and not print the menu buttons on the side outside of the print area I set up. When you just print the webpage those buttons and fields show up.

I have had the same concerns about the printing issue with IWP. Here are some solutions my team has come up with:

1. You can hide the status bar by clicking the black arrow next to the find button. Then you can print -- Problem you get one blank page for the status bar and then your page. Remedy for this is to go FILE - PRINT - and tell print page 2.

2. Highlight the area you want to print then go FILE -- PRINT -- Selection

3. If you want to do .pdf install a pdf document writer into your print divers. These are available at a low cost though shareware. Then follow the options listed above but select our document writer as the printer to use.
