George Posted August 27, 2001 Posted August 27, 2001 I have succesfully hosted my files using win2k pro with FM 5.5 std. I am using port 80 on a cable access. I have passwords on the shared files and verified that the instant webpublishing is checked. I am using the default home page. Problem is that when typing in my IP address, I don't see any hosted files. I can view the access log file and see that I am under the 10 user limit of past access within 12hrs and with a password assigned that only I know, I can't figure out why I cannot see the files. I can shut down FM and restart it and see the files. Any thoughts?
Vaughan Posted September 10, 2001 Posted September 10, 2001 I'm surprised Anatoli hasn't told you that W2K sux and NT4 is the way to go. Maybe he's busy... you owe me one, Anatoli. ;-)
Anatoli Posted September 11, 2001 Posted September 11, 2001 OK Vaughan, Foster or Black Swan on me :-) Or do you wanna try Pilsner Urquell? Anyway, W2k with SP2 is looking much better. But this can be God knows what...
Anatoli Posted September 11, 2001 Posted September 11, 2001 Is that good or bad? Back to the problem: In real world I never use the "latest" and also usually buggy software. George is using two; W2k which I am just starting to accept after release of SP2 and FM 5.5. Those are two big question marks.
