How do you link to a file or website using IWP?

I would like to post pdf's of sub-reports to our server and add the link to each dept's report, so the user will just click on the link in their report and the sub-report opens. Is that possible with IWP?

you can quite easily add the files to your web folder in any web server and just have an open url script directed to that file. Including Apache on any OSX machine.

However this is fantasically insecure and anyone with the url ( which potentially could come up on a google search ) will have access!

I also would like to know how to achieve this within IWP with user, password and db related access to the files.

I would like to hear that i could just drop them into a file in Filemaker Server and use a url access but i think that would be too easy.
