Hide Layout Toolbar

Is there a way to hide the layout drop-down toolbar? I don't want to hide the who status bar, just the layout one.

Hiding the status bar is all or nothing. However, you can go to Manage Layouts and uncheck all the layouts so they will not be listed in the layout menu.
