list hides records when they are clicked

I have a list iwp and each time I select a record all the earlier ones disappear. I need to show all or scroll back the the earlier record to see it. Any workaround - seems an odd behaviour. I was going to run PHP assistant instead but it isn't present in v12.

This is the default behavior for list (and table, I believe) views in FMP IWP. Sort of sucky, but you basically have to use a portal to get around this limitation.
