How to "Turn On" a DB for IWP?

Featured Replies

Hi there...

I am using FMP Server 12 advanced.  I have a number of DB's being served, and a sub set of them are turned on for "IWP".

My problem is, I forgot how to "turn on" a DB for IWP - and I need to "turn on" another one.

The only directions I can find in the documentation is to go into the DB under "Sharing->IWP", but:

1.  None of the other DB's that are "turned on" for IWP have this setting set and...

2.  When I try to turn it on, I get a message saying "FileMaker cannot share files over the Web because Instant Web Publishing could not be started."

I'm sure I am missing something simple, but I can't find it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Eric

In the security section, at least one of the active privilege sets needs to the have the IWP extended privilege turned on.  That privilege set needs to be tied to an active account.

Did you appoint the IWP extended priviledge set to at least one user?

Dear Wim and Milanm...

You guys are the best!  I knew there was something simple I was missing.  It worked like a charm.

One more quick (I hope) question for you.  Is it possible to have a DB activiated for IWP but not have it show up in the IWP Home Menu?

Thanks again!
