April 5, 201312 yr Is there any way to have a user commit a search in IWP if I have locked and hidden my status bar? I want to create a button that would allow them to put in some search criteria but when they submit the search it would include criteria I have added forcing them to only see data related to their company. What that best solution?

April 5, 201312 yr Author It was not the same question. That's why I made a new post. Kinda crappy! My first question was can you commit a user entered search with IWP without the status bar visible. I just found the answer, Create a button to preform find, I did not realize button's could be used in browse mode. So that's answered. My second question, which is different, is can you disable only certain functions of the status bar (specifically in IWP), rather then just hiding and locking the whole bar itself. Please read posts before deleting them. Thanks!
April 5, 201312 yr What did either question have to do with the Web Viewer? Answer: Nothing. The two question read as controlling your users when preforming finds, and limiting or hiding the status bar. To hide parts of the Status bar you can create Custom Menus.
April 6, 201312 yr FWIW I've done a fair bit of messing about with IWP. IMO the status bar is best removed and locked. This gives a better performance, presumably because the status bar code and rendering are not performed, and you get total control of the look and feel of things. Try it on a mobile phone. The status bar is too wide to show the submit button!
