FranciscoMtz Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 The server is OK, I try opening on web browser and it's fine, but I try to open it via FileMaker Pro 12, add the same server ip on Favorites, but when i click on the server name, doesn't open the user log in window. Which can be the problem?
Lee Smith Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Hi Francis, I moved this topic from "FileMaker Pro 12" to "Windows and FM Server". The General topic areas are intended for the discussion of the functions, features and tools that were new with the particular version mentioned. All how-to question should be posted to a topic area that best matches the sprit of the problem. Many questions can fit into more then one area, but you only need to pick one, and go with it.If you have any questions about this action, please contact me through a private message.Lee
doughemi Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Does the privilege set for the default account have the extended privilege "Access via FileMaker Network (fmapp)" checked?
FranciscoMtz Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 Well, this database is hosted on a triple8 server, and works fine on FMP 12 Advanced, but doesn't on FMP 12.
doughemi Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Does the FMP 12 machine or the router that it is connected through have port 5003 open?
FranciscoMtz Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 Good point, I'll check it later with the network administrator, thanks.
FranciscoMtz Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 I can open DataBases on FM 11 on my windows pc and other people on the same office's network can open remote files on FM12 on their Mac's, that means that the port 5003 is open, what any other problem can be ?
