October 3, 200619 yr I would like to provide a group of users access to our IWP hosted database.. I have provided a link that looks like this http://192.xxx.xxx.xxx/fmi/iwp/cgi?-db=Quote&-loadframes In the new version 8 server this brings them to an authoriztion page where they can type in their username and password. I there a way to pass the username and password in the url bypassing the authorization page and taking them directly into the database? Thanks For the help Stu
October 3, 200619 yr If you set [Read-Only Access] as the only Privilege Set associated with fmiwp, the server will assume Guest access and jump past the login screen.
October 4, 200619 yr Author We actually do that in some of our databases.. but in this case we are looking to put the login and password in the url so depending on that user or group of users it will load up specific pages for particular users. Stu
August 11, 201015 yr I am trying to accomplish the same thing. I want to give users a URL that goes directly to their record and no others. Is there a way to do this?
