January 6, 200917 yr Hello, Anybody know where I can find the up to date list of Error Codes for FileMaker Pro 10? Specifically I would like to catch the errors that might be generated by the Send Mail (using SMTP server) script step. Thanks...
January 6, 200917 yr Well, I had an Error Codes list from vs. 9. And I imported from the FM Help Error Codes for 10. There are 206 in vs. 9 and 217 in vs. 10. The new error codes are: 20 Command/operation canceled by triggered script 737 Bento collection or library is missing; data cannot be imported 1450 Action requires PHP privilege extension (*) 1451 Action requires that current file be remote 1501 SMTP authentication failed 1502 Connection refused by SMTP server 1503 Error with SSL 1504 SMTP server requires the connection to be encrypted 1505 Specified authentication is not supported by SMTP server 1506 Email(s) could not be sent successfully 1507 Unable to log in to the SMTP server
January 6, 200917 yr Author Thanks for posting very useful... Duh, I should have known to look in the Help....
January 10, 200917 yr Newbies Hi LaRetta, Could you explain how you "imported" from FM Help Error codes? I took a look and didn't see how to accomplish that. I'm interested in an "Import from Help technique". Thanks, Betty Edited January 10, 200917 yr by Guest
January 10, 200917 yr Hi there, Betty! Welcome to FM Forums!! I keep a Developer file with error codes, functions and such. My error codes file has a field called Version which contains the version when the code first appeared. Just copy all the text (code and descriptions only from FM Help by drag-selecting all of it) and paste into a regular text document or excel file. Then I show all records in my error codes table and import this file into it, setting to 'update matching records in found set' and 'add remaining as new records.' I knew which ones first appeared in vs. 10 because their Version field was blank. Edited January 10, 200917 yr by Guest
January 11, 200917 yr Newbies Thanks for your answer, LaRetta. I thought there might be a more direct route. ;-) And thanks for your welcome. I have to confess I find this forum a bit overwhelming. I'm not entirely new, I just couldn't get in under my previous login so I re registered. I'm giving it another try. Betty
January 11, 200917 yr I'm pleased you are sticking around, Betty. You won't find a nicer (although sometimes strange) bunch of people to assist you. And remember that NONE of us knows everything and EVERYONE here learns from almost every post and we ALL didn't know SOMETHING or ANYTHING at one time. There are no dumb questions that I haven't already asked and that is absolute fact. :jester:
