August 6, 201114 yr Hi guys~ so I'm trying to learn some basic scripting and it all seems like gibberish to me. Does anyone know of a quick primer lesson that I could take that would teach just the basics. I'm not a programmer by trade but am fairly tech savvy. any help would be GREATLY appreciated! y'all rock! Stewart
August 8, 201114 yr Surely it's not ALL gibberish? Go to layout... Enter Find mode... The FTS does cover scripts pretty well. Worth the $ IMO, and if you're a Technet member it's half price. Don't forget to check the online help, though, it's really not bad: http://fmhelp.filemaker.com/fmphelp_11/en/html/help_script_cat.34.1.html#947319 How about posting a specific task you're trying to accomplish? Or a "what's wrong with this script" question? Best way to learn is to dive in and experiment.
