I downloaded the demo of FileMaker a few months back and played around with it a bit but just don't have the time to polish up and properly create the database that I would like to have. Hi I have made a database to track my employees start and finish times. The only issue I have is that I need multiple employees to use the database file and log in with there account name which all works well. The problem I have is that I need each employee to logon and put in there start time (then log off) in the morning keeping that record active until they loin at the end of the day and enter there finish time to that same record. Hi All, I work for a small business that uses Filemaker 11 to store and sort all of its contacts (a few thousand). But we do not think we're using Filemaker to the best of its ability, and none of us here are familiar enough with the program to properly organize it and utilize it to its max potential. Hi There. I'm after someone to develop a solution to add information from a TCP/IP data stream to my filemaker 10 database. I'm not sure how easy this is to do, but I would imaging this type of thing is a common thing in more complex solutions. I basically have a piece of equipment which gathers id information along with a date & time, it currently saves this to a usb stick as a text file and we then import it to the database. I have found out that the equipment outputs a TCP/IP stream on port 10000 but I have no idea what this means or how to get it to interact in real time with the database. I have two tables with an ID field and relationships are established. What I would like is that when the fax button is clicked which opens another layout to the fax table i would like the ID & First Name last name and Company name and phone info to be carried over from the record that was being viewed in the other layout and table.
