I've read several threads in this forum and on support pages on connecting FMP to MySQL databases and I've got completely confused. I watched the filemaker support video http://www.filemaker.com/support/technologies/mysql.html?ovmkt=04D97B5467B9451E9C686F76B3C80C44 We have FMP 10 on Mac and Windows XP and an FM Server 10 running on Windows XP. Now we need to access and manipulate data of a MySQL database on an external server. Where do I get the ODBC drivers? Do I really need to buy the drivers from actualtechnologies for Mac? And more important: How does it work with Windows? Thanks

I am including a read only Table Occurrence from my SQL table. I am trying to figure out a way to run summary calculations, and sub-summary calculations, and aggregate functions on several values from those external tables... but I cannot add variables to that table, and I can't figure out how to make it work. Is there something I am missing. Has any created summary fields from external tables?

Hi there, I just installed the FileMaker ODBC driver on my newly set up Mac OS 10.6 machine only to discover that I cannot access data on a FileMaker Server Advanced using the FileMaker ODBC driver. This is my current setup (not working): - Databases are running on different Windows 2003 Servers, each of them hosting FileMaker Server Advanced 10. - Client is Mac OS 10.6.1, FileMaker ODBC driver installed (the one which came on the FM Server 10 install CD) and configured definitely correctly (triple checked for misspelling and everything else) according to FileMaker's setup guides. - Trying to access the data from the client machine using several s…

Greetings, I have a sql query I want to run... but I think some of the clauses in it are not available in Filemaker's Query builder, which only has SELECT WHERE ORDERBY. Can I type in the query manually to get this to work, or will only those three clauses work? Or is there another way to request a SQL query that I don't know about?

Greetings, I was wondering if anyone has successfully connected to Quickbooks Enterprise 9.0 using Filemaker pro Advanced 10. Someone had told me that Quickbooks Enterprise supports ODBC connections, but I haven't been able to find anything yet online about it. I am going to need to pull inventory numbers out of Quickbooks... has anyone ever done this? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I have a Filemaker Table containing customers and a MS_Sql table containing jobs. On the FM table I have a key field, text, empty (values to be entered by our producers). On the MS_Sql shadow table an FM calculated field that takes the job number from a sql field and removes a few characters meaningful only to our accounting dept. The calculation gives text as result. Basically on the shadow table the sql field would look like AR-12345-001-PRO. On the FM table non accountants will enter job numbers in this format AR12345. I've related the key text field on the FM table to the calculation on the shadow table, but a portal on the FM layout doesn't…

I've successfully connected my FMS 10 to a MS SQL server via ODBC and my Filemaker database can set up an MS SQL table as an external data source. When I connect to a table that has blob fields, Filemaker doesn't see them, only the text fields. I had hoped to import the blob field contents (documents in Word or PDF format) into the Filemaker's container field, but if I can't see 'em, I can't gets 'em. I also use Aqua Data Studio to browse the MS SQL server via JDBC. It sees the blob fields and when I do a select on blob data, ADS converts it to binhex code. ADS is obviously a text-data tool. Has anyone done such a thing (import binary data from MS SQL to Fi…

Hello all, i am using filemaker pro 9 connected with a sql database, which works really fine after i have read through this forum. Thanks for that. Now i ran into following problem: After i have created the shadow tables in filemaker all fields are marked as "value necessary" (if I have translated it correctly from the German version) leading to a painful data entering situation as I have to fill all fields before I can edit the next set of data. I have tried to change this option in the FM database, but, of course it gets changed again after connecting to the sql database. Is there a solution (except assigning a default value) to avoid that all sql fields req…

I'm working with a MySQL database that I've attached to FileMaker. Currently, the MySQL database is installed my test server at sandbox.mydomain.com. My client's production server is different, of course, and it's as theirlivedomain.com. We're running FMSA10 on Win2k3. I've got 2 separate ODBC DSN's configured on the server. One that connects to sandbox.mydomain.com and the other that connects to theirlivedomain.com. During development I've been using my test server's MySQL database. Everything is working perfectly there so now I'm ready to switch it live. Well, I transferred all of the tables from the test MySQL to the live MySQL and then I simpl…

It would be wonderful if that could happen I m just trying to find out of it is possible and how it is done. Thank you so much

Greetings, I have used Filemaker to connect to a SQL server before, so I know it works. Our company uses a program by Dydacomp called: Mail Order Manager (MOM). This System runs on a SQL server. I have several of their table structures that were in their help file. We already use Crystal Reports to pull some information out of it. So I want to create a read-only link to this SQL table with Filemaker. Does anyone know, will Filemaker attempt to modify this data in anyway? Or lock the records? I want the read to be as transparent as possible. I don't want the Mail Order System to be affected. I assume if Crystal Reports works in this fashion, …

Greetings Forum, I have been encountering an issue with ESS and FMS 9. The server 9 machine is running Windows XP and has a DSN configured to an offsite MySQL server. Adding and working with MySQL table occurrences works fine. Interacting with the MySQL tables always works when connecting with a Mac client. However, Windows clients require intermittent "Syncing" as Filemaker seems to drop the primary key from the MySQL tables. It would seem that this issue is related to Filemaker Pro client and not the server, as the problem only occurs when connecting via a Windows client. When viewing a layout based on an ESS table, under Windows, all fields display "Pr…

I am using odbc to update container fields that contain references to quicktime movies. For some reason, filemaker pro is not able to locate the quicktime movies. If I manually insert quicktime into the field, it finds it no problem. Looking at the reference, they are both identical. Any idea what might be going on? I found a hint that maybe during a manual import, filemaker tags it as a quicktime movie somewhere, any idea where this is done and if I can do it via an odbc connection when I perform an update or insert statement? thanks

Hi guys I'm having a problem with an external DB via ODBC. Within Filemaker you can relate a field with multiple values in it via a relation. eg: In the Child Table theres a field "Users" with the following content: Record ID 1 = "343¶[color:red]391¶392" Record ID 2 = "345¶385¶[color:red]391" Record ID 3 = "332¶345¶[color:red]391" ¶ = simply a return In the Parent theres a field "User" which has a value "[color:red]391". What usually happens is the Parent record would show all 3 records but instead with ODBC none show up. Has anyone experienced this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ron

I did some testing of having an external application send records to a FM database. I tried 3 methods : 1. Using the Data Direct Sequelink ODBC where the application directly sends records to FM 2. Having the application send the records to MYSQL via the MYSQL ODBC Driver 3.51, and make that MYSQL database an external data source in my FM database. 3. Having the application send the records to a .csv file / files and having FM import the records from the .csv files. With method 1 it took the application 109 seconds (!) to send just 7 records to FM. With method 2 it took 54 seconds to send the same 7 records. With method 3 it took about 1 second to get …

Hi guys, My problem is with updating a FM database via ODBC. I’m using a Scanning program called “SimpleIndex” which can scan documents and send OCR info to a database file via ODBC. I can get it to export to ACCESS, to MYSQL, to an XLS file or to a CSV file… but I cannot get it to update a Filemaker database directly. I can export to MYSQL and connect via ODBC to the FM database (tested and working), but this introduces an extra layer that I would rather not have. I created a File DSN and a system DSN using the DataDirect 32-Bit SequeLink 5.5. Both report that the connection to the host file is OK. When I try to export the data from the scanning so…

Hi everybody! I have to connect web MySQL database of web users (login + password + e-mail etc..) with db persons in filemaker - so i downloaded mysql odbc connection driver, tried to set it and then tried to add external odbc table to filemaker.. But when i create any odbc connection in windows ODBC sources (via Start-Settings-Control Panel-Data sources (ODBC)), that connection never appears in filemaker . What i am doing wrong? I red that filemaker can access to odbc when you set it in System DSN, but if i create anything there (mysql, excel, access) it doesnt appear in filemaker list.. Do anybody know where is that problem? Thx a lot

I am still trying to get a handle on this relationship between Filemaker and an ODBC data source. I have the connection between the two running fine. I am actually using 3 external sources to compile the information in my database. The question I have is, one of the sources (clients) has about 382 records in it. Some are "active" and some not. Is there a way to filter the records actually being received before they are seen in Filemaker. Be it known that its a live or through a “static” ODBC import. Does this have to be done on the server side first. I dont want to have to create a "filtered find" script for all the clients. There are some the users just dont need t…

Please forgive a newbie question. I am working with an organisation that has a large MySQL database with web front ends in several offices. The Web front end is, frankly, awful. Inflexible, irritating, and just plain bad. What's more, we can't get at the code to change it. We would like to use FM pro as the front end because it is so easy to build, change, and generally add new reports, queries, etc. My question is: is it possible? What are the limitations? Can I use FM pro as a front end to a MySQL database and if so, how?

Hi, I have this weird situation while exporting mysql data. I am using MYSQL 1.2.9 to store the WebData where users modify it regularly. I am running a FM program each night to import the data from MYSQL to FM.I am using FM pro advanced 8.5 version. I export all the data from mysql table to a text file first and import into FM database from text file. The situation I am facing is, when it exports data from MYSQL to text file , it does not export all the data. If there are 821000 records in mysql, it exports around 819000. The number differs everyday. The data not exported does not have any problem and data not exported differs each day. If data not exported was…

Hi there, My problem is I have an office booking system that is built with PHP and uses MySQL as the database. I am trying to use the data stored in the MySQL database with Filemaker, however, the date and time in the MySQL database is stored in the following format: "1247700600" (An integer) I had a bit of a look around in the PHP files and seems to have found something that I think codes that date and time into something called strftime. Does anyone know a custom function in Filemaker or any other way that would decode this back into a readable format for use in Filemaker. Any help would be much appreciated.

[Please let me know if there's a better forum to post in, thanks.] We're trying to develop a simple JDBC application that accesses FM 8.0 v4 Advanced server. We are using the supplied JDBC driver for FM. FYI, this driver uses DataDirect's Sequelink driver underneath the covers. We find that FMP consistently takes WAY too long to respond to the JDBC API call DatabaseMetaData.getColumns(). This call is used to lookup column information (e.g. name and datatype) for a given table. It is listed as "supported" by the driver, according to the documentation. Against a production server, the CPU usage moves to 100% whenever this query is issued for a part…

Hi everyone, This is probably a well known limitation but I can't find reference to it (my google skills are not up to snuff it appears..). Problem: I have an external mysql datasource connected. Hi everyone, I'm working on a project, which involves cataloging about 2500-3000 books for the College of Writing at UC Berkeley. Of course I did not want to manually type in the tedious details of each book, so I learned the basics of FMP and XML importing. I can't use the pre built library catalog programs because they don't have a web publishing feature like FMP does. So far I can use the XML import feature of FMP to import the necessary information of each book by querying http://isbndb.com/data-intro.html. Although this makes it a lot easier to catalog all these books, I just know there's still a much faster way. I don't want to individually import eac…

Hi everyone, I've been on a crash course of learning FMP recently to implement a solution for the non-profit org I'm volunteering with. After reading through official and unofficial documentation, I'm a bit turned around on which setup will work best for me to get our data shared on the Web. I've created a FMP10A database for contact management which at the moment has fairly simple fields in it - Name (First/Last), Email, Username (for our forums), and a Value List of memberships to subgroups within our internal structure. More will be added later but this is the basic set of data. I'd like to be able…

I have an FMP file that is interfacing with my online store. I'm still setting both up, and I've run into an odd problem. In FMP I have some relations set up between some of the MySQL tables. Hi all, I have just discovered that FileMaker 10 running on a Mac chops number values when importing records from a FileMaker Server Adv. 10 via ODBC. Text values are working fine. I can't determine what the pattern is that FM 10 chops the numbers. If the table that is hosted on FMSA 10 has a number field that contains "1717" or "1616" only "11" arrives in FMA 10. What I have tried to track down the problem is: - I tested this using FMA 9 on a Mac importing from the very same FMSA 10 via ODBC - the number values show up correct. - I tested this using FMA 10 on Windows importing from the same FMSA 10 - the number values show up correct again. - I t…

Hi everyone, I have a timestamp field in FM and I import (ODBC data source) from a timestamp field from a People Soft view (using Oracle 10g which is supported by FM). This import works perfectly in vs. 9 ... the imported time is 00:00:00 and imports as 12:00 AM. However, when I use vs. 10 (whether FMPA or FMS scheduled import), it no longer imports the time; the results are only the date. And a date only in a timestamp field fails field-level validation!! I am unsure whether it is restricted to breaking with Oracle 10g or whether it would be ANY ESS data source with 00:00:00 as the time portion of a timestamp. One of the changes in vs. 10 is: [color:gr…

Hi, Yes you read right, I want to, I should say I tried to run a mini database on a 1.44 mb floppy but I get a "not enough memory" message even though the database is 100kb. Why does Filemaker throw that memory message to me? Thanks ps I posted on this forum as I could not figure out a better forum to post this one one.

I'm trying to work with a MySQL data source within FM. I installed the ODBC driver on the Windows Sever running FM and created a System DSN successfully. I then open up FM Pro on a client machine that opens the FM files hosted on the server. I go into Manage -> External Data Sources and select DSN but nothing shows up. Do I have to create a DSN on every client that uses this? I sure hope not. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I don't know if this is the right forum, but here goes. My company had a crappy database that housed employee information. This database is over 7 years old so I have replaced it with FileMaker, the problem is that the old database is connected to a Badge Machine that prints out those plastic ID Cards. Well I can't get it to talk to the database. The service tech from the badge machine (of course) blames it all on filemaker not working because it's a Mac platform (the database is housed on a mac server, but all users use a PC). So my questions is 1), does anyone have any ideas or have run into a similar problem with FMP integrating with PC databases…

I have a new website that I'm setting up a shopping cart with. It's a MySQL DB. I have my FMP file on my local computer for handling several parts of the business. What I would like to do is have the FMP file import new sales orders from the shopping cart DB on the web server. I'm pretty new to MySQL and web databasing, so I'm not sure how to proceed.

I'm new to Mac OS and Filemaker. I need to query a Filemaker db on a Mac. I want to install an ODBC driver on the Windows Emulator of this Mac to view and query the FM tables in MS Access. Where can I find an FM ODBC driver to download on the net? Is the only way to get it from the install CD?

My first try at working with external ODBC data sources. MySQL is up and running, the DNS is setup, FileMaker sees the DNS, it's showing me the table I want to add, but when I do so I get the following error: "This action could not be performed because the required table is missing" I gave the mySQL user full global access to everything. There are no scripts in this database. I just created this database, it's completely empty. Any ideas as to what's going wrong?

When using File Maker Pro 10 Server with a .net front-end can one not use a DSN-Less connection? What would the connection string look like? The examples I've found on the web fail for not finding the "FileMaker Pro" Odbc driver. The setup is two servers: Server A: Windows 2.8k box running FM 10 Server hosting several databases Server B: Windows 2.3k box running the FM 10 Server web components (IWP, ODBC, PHP & Remote Administration) and IIS hosting .net 2.0 applications. IWP, PHP and Remote Administration function properly. IIS serves .net, html and php pages no problem. I cannot seem to find the right connection string to talk t…

As a relative newbie to the world of ESS and ODBC, something has got me flummoxed! When I do an import of a Stored Procedure via ODBC to MS SQL from table with 1 record, FileMaker produces 5 records in my SQL table. The MS SQL staff are happy to resolve it their end but they are finding it too amusing for comfort! : Is there a reason why this happens and more importantly how can I resolve it?

Hi all, I am trying to figure out how to setup a dsn to give other applications access to the data in my filemaker 10 database (all on the same machine, local workstation). I have already setup the filemaker file to give specific users access through odbc (file, sharing, odbc/jdbc, and extended privileges) When I go to the Microsoft ODBC data source setup utility, I have the following Filemaker odbc drivers: Filemaker oracle 8 driver filemaker pro filemaker sql server driver filemaker text driver I have tried all but the text driver and I get an error accessing. Which is the correct one to use, or am I totally missing something? Thanks for y…

As part of learning how to use FM Pro 9 and MySQL I built a FM base called testbase that has one table with three fields: 'id', 'apellido', 'nombre'. I also created an MySQL base also with 3 fields named the same way. 'id' is integer, the other two text (varchar). I created a simple script (a loop) in FileMaker that includes the following Execute SQL script step: "INSERT INTO cliente (id,apellido, nombre) VALUES (" & testbase::id & ",'" & testbase::apellido &"','"& testbase::nombre &"')" The script works on all records except when either apellido or nombre includes accents or other high ascii characters. Instead I get an error: "ODBC …

We have an office-based FileMaker contacts database which includes some sales management, as well as printing functionality etc. (Typical case for Filemaker.) The client also has a new website, where people can sign up to an email newsletter. This is based on an SQL database. I need to somehow connect the two, so that the client can enter some contacts locally into the FMP database, to receive the newsletter. Likewise, people having signed up on the website should be manageable via FMP. How best to do this? I'd prefer not to get involved with synching-routines if I can avoid it. One way would be to use FMP as a frontend to the SQL database. Bu…

I have set up an ODBC source to import data from sql database into FM. The FM file in which I import is on a workstation (ODBC is set up on the same workstation) while the actual SQL db is on a server. The db has about 100k records, text only. When I try to import if I select only 1 field it works without any issues and records are imported right away. If I however select 2 fields or more it just hangs there without doing anything. Left it for 30 mins and nothing changed. Is the issue in FM, size of the db or because I am doing it from a workstation and not the server? Not sure what is wrong so I do not know where to look to try to fix the issue. If I set…

Hi, Personally I am a fan of replaces, how about you ? I have this situation where I import data from FileMaker into a MySql table using ESS. Offcourse, I never see any problems with my data but my client keeps informing me of data missing in the SQL-table. After importing the data into the tabel I do several replaces as the dataset might contain several records. Would a loop thorough the records, thus setting the fields, be better / more reliable than a replace ? Any experiences ? TIA !

Hello, Working with an Oracle 10g database, when I add relationships in the graph area, I am not getting any one-to-many or many-to-many links. I am basically trying to recreate the structure from the Oracle DB to a FM DB - When I look at the related records from a source, I am seeing the same id over and over in what should be a unique foreign key field. I apologize for not being real clear on this. Brad

Hello everyone, I'm new to FMP10A (Windows) and a task delegated to me has left me with a throbbing head. It's regarding the setting up of a ODBC connection to my fp7 files. I've followed the instructions laid out in the documentation and help files and also reinstalled both the DataDirect driver and FM itself several times. Here is a run down of what I've done: 1. Create simple database file with single table with some nonsense text records. 2. Enable ODBC for privileged users. Created simple admin account to facilitate. 3. Go to ODBC Administrator > Set up System DSN as instructed with name, Host: localhost, Port: 2399 and data source as the extens…

This is an odd one. I've been through walkthroughs on the internet and everything, and I can't seem to get FileMaker to read the records from the MSSQL database I have setup. I have the System ODBC connection setup. I have the Filemaker database setup to use it as an external data source. Filemaker can even see the tables and Fields of the MSSQL database. But under the "Tables" tab under "Manage Databases", the all the tables in the MSSQL database show "?" as the number of records... but somehow it can read all the fields. When I attempt to put a field on the layout that reads from one of the MSSQL databases, it shows "", and when I click on the field in…

I have a solution that needs to update records in a MySQL database based on actions in the local FM database. I have the ESS connection set up, can see all the fields I need, etc. The problem seems to be that I can only retrieve 255 records at a time from the MySQL database. I'm using the MySQL ODBC drivers from MySQL on a Windows 2003 Server running FileMaker Server 9 Advanced. FileMaker knows how many records are in the MySQL table (~25k), but seems to only be able to access 255 at a time. I haven't been able to find anything on FileMaker's site about such a limitation, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the MySQL ODBC driver or perhaps the configurati…

Hi, I connect via JDBC to FM10. This works quite well, but if I have a faulty sql statement the JDBC Server isn't reachable anymore. E.g. I generate an insert statement. The integration isn't finished and so I often have statements that can be incorrect: INSERT INTO resource ("elementId") VALUES ("id001", NULL) This statement leads to the following exception: java.sql.SQLException: [DataDirect][sequeLink JDBC Driver]Network problem, session aborted due to internal error in remote procedure call, connection closed. If this exception occures, the database isn't furthermore reachable. The DB must be started often until it will be reachable again. Is this a normal beh…

Hello All, I have run into this odd error. I had my database linked to another FileMaker database and when the linked database was moved and no longer existed at the given file location. The next time I loaded the database into FileMaker and opened the external data sources dialog the external data source showed up as shown in the attachment. I am not able to do anything to that data source, I can add new sources and edit them fine but this "blank" data source cannot be operated on at all. Cannot remove or edit it. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you, Julian

I am building a front end to a mysql database. It works quite well, but once in a while the FM-scripts stop working. On inspecting the layout based on the table FM-says that there is no primary key in the SQL-table. However, there IS a key in the SQL-table. After I re-check the primary-key field everything starts working again. Anyone got an idea how this might have happened ? / Why this happens ?

I am trying to insert records into an Oracle ODBC data source. Unfortunately the text data has single as well as double quotes in it. I first tried exec SQL insert using a calculated query and I get miss matching quotes and therefore, “String not properly terminated” errors. I then attempted to create a related table as an external data source and got lost there too. I created a layout but all it says is “Unrelated Table” Is there some easy way to sanitize the text data in a calculated insert query so the quotes match up or insert the data in such a manner it doesn’t care about the quotes (link the one I just typed in "doesn’t")? Alternately, If I have an empty…

Hi, I'd like to know if executing an SQL query is faster than using a filemaker calculated fields on a remote mysql database hosted on a webserver? Example: There two tables Clients & Invoices. Execute SQL update statement sum(invoices.total) where client_code ="xyz" after every invoice created OR 2. Hello ! I am using FM9 ESS on a MySQL database hosted on a Linux server where the locale defaults are on UTF-8. My database has the default encoding UTF-8 and my tables have the encoding set to UTF-8. The only exception is that MySQL server seems configured to use Latin-1 (ISO-8859-1) as default encoding (I can't change this, I am not the server administrator). Now FileMaker do not seems to recognize the right encoding for my tables and it reads/writes anything in Latin-1. If I understand well ESS, it was supposed to recognize automatically the encoding http://www.fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/194132/ But there is no such option like 'Auto-detect …

I'm very new at the whole ODBC/ESS thing and have a couple of questions which are boggling my mind: 1. I have an ODBC connection to a MySQL database that when viewed in Sequel Pro, shows to contain 1148 rows. But when I look at that table in one FM client (served by Server 10 Advanced) shows to contain 1114 records and on another machine it shows to have only 1095 records. Why the discrepancy? I've tried refreshing the window and flushing the MySQL cache to no effect. Furthermore, when I search for specific records I know to be in the MySQL table (using the find function in FM), it only retrieves 3 of the 5 records. 2. When simply switching from a regular …

Hello, I'm trying to set up an external data source to a MS SQL 2005 database. I set up a system dsn, but when I go to select it from the specify list - it is not listed, however 4 other dsn's do appear. These 4 are connections to other various databases in the same MS SQL 2005 server. The odd thing is the specify list does not seem to change (i.e. I deleted one of the 4 DSN connections that showed up, and it still appeared on the specify list). Has anyone run into anything like this? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello all, I'm trying to use FM10 as front end for a MySQL database. Please excuse my lack of understanding of ODBC at the most basic level. I have read the help files but my questions are more basic than that. I work in FMP9 and will probably upgrade to 10 soon. Q1. Can I access information from data sources over the internet like an online database that I would usually enter data into manually, on line banking, stock prices.... etc. Or is this ODBC just for connecting to other types of databases on my computer? Q2. If so, how do I know what type of data source I am trying to access, and how do I choose it when using the ODBC administrator in Mac OSX? Thanks Phil

I am exchanging data between 9 and 10. I have some time fields that go to MySQL. The client entered '18' into the time field, FM9 displays 18:00, but the field really contains 18. That won't work when importing the data into the ESS. It gives me a NULL. However in FM10 if you enter 18 and later click into the field you'd get 18:00:00. Confirmation of this ?

Hi All ! I am working with ESS and it works very nicely, but there is one problem : ESS seems to lag behind in the refreshing/updating of the data. Example : When searching in a sql-based table in ESS I find less records then when doing the same search in the sql table directly. What could be causing this ? Can I somehow check if the ESS-connection is alive ? Can I force a refresh of the shadow table ? TIA

I am using ODBC connection to a Universe database and all is going (reasonably) well. However the FMP SQL Query builder is giving me grief. It is automatically creating table aliases and it then sometimes uses the same alias in the one select statement for two different tables (ie where a join relationship occurs). Is this a result of the FMP Query builder or the Universe ODBC driver ? Can this be turned off ? I am new to SQL queries so the builder is otherwise very useful. elmpine

I get an error related to the ODBC Driver (I found out that thiserror comes from the driver itself) I connect an indesign plugin (easycatalog, www.65bit.com) to a filemaker database. Connecting and syncing works ok, but I get the error msg: "Function sequence error" anyways. Any idea if this is related to the sequelink driver? Are the Actual drivers any better? Hi, I am having the following problem: my hoster wouldnt allow me to access my MySQL DB through FM10 external access (ODBC). Now I still would like to develop, administrate the DB within FM10, and export the data, relationships, etc and upload to the server before launching the site. Do you have any exopereince in whatÄ's the best flow to do this? Any tool´s required? Any sites/links/tips you can point me to that shows how to do this best?
