FileMaker Server General Discussions

  1. I have scoured the filemaker site and cannot find any tech spec that says Filemaker Server will not run on 64bit win08. Can anyone shed some light into this? We are planning to setup our server as a 64bit Win08 box but I need to make certain FMServer will run on it without any major issues.

  2. Hi All, I have a mystery on my hands. I am running FM Server 9 on a dedicated Windows machine. I have clients (mostly Mac)that connect via Open Remote using FMP 9. So here is where it gets a little strange. I have one, and only one, computer that cannot find the server when you go in and 'open remote' and enter all the settings. I've had 2 people check the settings so I think we aren't overlooking something obvious. The file has been hosted and working for over a year. This is a newly rebuilt Mac after a hard drive replacement. I know that the computer is on the network correctly because we can access file servers. Any thoughts on what could …

  4. I'm fairly new to FileMaker. I am running 10 Server on Windows 2003 Server. I would like to use ODBC connections. When I enable XDBC, I see that is enabled in Windows Event Viewer. Right after that event, I see an error: I cannot connect to port 2399. According to some research, it seems when running FileMaker 9, you can simply rename FMSocket_SL55.trc and the error will go away. I'm running FileMaker 10 and cannot find FMSocket_SL55.trc any where. Can anyone offer some help?

  5. Hello all, I'm trying to find out about recommended hardware on which to deploy FileMaker Server 10. Small business here, 10 users on the LAN, 5 more accessing via WAN, 6 hosted databases, no web publishing yet, fast internet connection, routers doing NAT. Here goes: -Is the newest state-of-the-art Xserve recommended, or have you folks had success with an older machine like a G5 tower or first-gen MacPro? -Would a high-end PC desktop machine running Vista or XP Pro do the job well? For example...? -I read a while ago that 10,000 rpm SCSI drives are recommended for FMS. Is that still the case and if so, how do I connect a SCSI drive to a SATA-equipped computer? …

  6. I'm wondering if it's OK for me to have files with the same name, running at the same time, but placed in separate folders. It's an inventory management system for graphic designers. There are two companies, but I develop the program in parallel for both companies. The solution has a data file and an image file. Right now, every time is do an update, I have to do the importing, then go into change the name of the files and change the file references. This is a bit cumbersome. It would be easier if I could just run the importing and place each system under its own folder. So, instead of this..... Data/OneDataFile.fp7 Data/OneImageFile.fp7 Data/T…

  7. I have done searches and found that I can delete some folders to reset the admin console settings and go through the process again to set it up. My question is what impact does this have on Filemaker Pro? Are the databases affected? What exactly will I have to redo when I make these changes? I inherited our servers recently, and need to make some changes in the admin console. I have a password that is suppose to work, but I am not sure of the username. I am using FMP 10.

  8. I want to deauthorized and uninstall filemaker server 10 from one machine and install it on another. Is it necessary or possible to deauthorize the install on the old machine before installing on the new one? This is on an OS X 10.5 system. Darren Burgess

  12. I'm hoping that I have missed something about storing an icon or graphic into a global container of a file that is hosted by FM Server. the only way I can get the DB to keep these items to is insert them while they a local on my machine then re-share them from the server. Any other tricks or tips for doing this?

  13. Hello, I have a problem with FileMaker Server 8.0.4 on a MacOS 10.4.11 machine. I have set up a program (in FileMaker Server Admin) to run every day to backup the database. It is active, and set to run each day at 19:00. But no backup gets done... The backup is targetted to be done in: filemac:/Server HD/Library/FileMaker Server/Data/Backups I tried everything and I hope someone can point me to some things I need to check / adjust for this backup to run... Thanks!

  14. Hi, not sure if this is in the right place or not. I'm helping out a company with their FileMaker databases. We have a client version, as well as the server version on the server machine. While the client version was on C: everything was fine and it could see the FM server database files. The IT guy decided that he needed more space on C: so he uninstalled the client version and installed a new client on a shared drive (E:). Now when we run the version on E: it can't see the database files (which are still also on C:). I've tried local, as well as a remote connection but it's just not finding it. All the other clients that are on the network are seeing the FM DB files fin…

  15. Hi, I have to create a solution for a 4 people organziation (foundation). They don't have much money to spend so I try to find the cheapest solution but it's not easy to understand all the different licenses of filemaker. What they need: - 4 people on the same database at same time - the database is a easy one with 10 tables and some relationships I thought to use one Filemaker Pro license and 4 runtime solutions to accessing the database (peer to peer) But I'm not sure if it's possible to access the db with a runtime solution (over network) The runtime solution I will provide for 0$ (it's a foundation ;-) ) Is this possible and is it the cheapest w…

I can no longer access the admin console. In reading some previous posts, it seems the best thing would be to upgrade. I'm at 9.1 so it looks like I'll have to upgrade first to 9.2 then 9.3. However, it wants me to shut things down. If the console doesn't work how do I get into the server to shut things down? HELP! I also have version 10 that I haven't used yet. But I would have the same problem. It seems like a catch 22.

  17. I ran into a tremendous problem. I'm running server 9 on an XP machine. I added some files to the server and couldn't open them because it says I went over the limit. First, does anyone know the limit? Second, any workaround? Third, does 10 allow for more? Thanks Mike

  20. I have been running FMS7 on Windows SBS 2003 successfully for years. We are replacint the SBS 2003 server with a SBS 2008 server. 1. I copied the databases to the new server. 2. I installed FMS7 on the SBS 2008 server with the same license key. 3. I stopped the FMS services on the old server and started them on the new server. The FMS server admin shows that the databases look fine and are in Normal status. However, the FM clients cannot see the databases on the new server through Open Remote. I entered the IP address for the new server, but it can't see any DBs. Even if I specify the name of a database, the clients can't open them. Please help.

  21. I am having a problem with FMS 10.0.2.206 on Windows 2003 Server running as a VMware virtual machine. I know the problem is happening when a user tries to open a database and it asks for a login. (FMS is set to use external authentication via AD, so usually anyone on the domain does not need to login.) Most of the databases require AD credentials for users to login. Authentication with AD credentials fails. However, I am able to open the FMS sample db (which doesn't require AD credentials) without a problem. Compounding this problem, however, is that after this happens, I have limited functionality with the Admin console. I tried to close all of the databas…

  23. From time to time with no apparent reason, I find that the FMSA10 admin console seems to stop updating it's status. For instance, it doesn't accurately show the current logged in users (might be data from 2 days back), it shows a script still running from 2 days ago and none others have since run, even though they have (I can see the backups that resulted from a scheduled script, even though the console doesn't show them as having run yet), etc etc. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, what is the resolution? I am running FMSA10v1 on Windows Server 2003, 4Gb RAM. Thanks.

  24. Hi, In FMSA v.10, server scripts can now export records... That was good news I was waiting for. But export file destinations in FMSA 10 are restricted to two specific destinations (and their subfolders): < Documents> and < Temporary files >. So what if I want to export to a different folder, or even to a different server ? I note that Exporting is not subject to these restrictions using FMPro. Have the FM developpers explained why these restrictions exist on the server? TIA Bobbby

  30. I'm currently running FileMaker Server 10 and am hosting 4 databases. I have roughly 12 users accessing the system. My question is in regards to the list of databases available on the Open Remote File dialog. I know that in the Server configuration that you can set the option to "List only the databases each user is authorized to access" option which works good, but it is a bit of a pain to have to enter your username/password to show the list, then enter the username/password again to enter the database. Is there any way to accomplish the same security without having to enter your credentials twice? Thank you in advance.

  32. My FM Server is behind a corporate firewall and so I often access it through our VPN server. However, our server is often slow and prone to disconnects. We also have an SSH server which seems reliable. To access my FMS I simply type the alias "SSH-FMS" into the Terminal. I then use the 'Open Remote..' dialogue in Filemaker to access fmnet:/127.0.0.2/ So what is the Terminal alias? Its a bit lengthy and you need to know the I.P. address of your FMServer and your SSH servers. 34. I have a script that zips and moves a copy of our database (Thanks Rob Russell) to a second location on a different drive. I've used this at at least 15 of my customer locations and it always works. But at one site the script does not appear in the drop down of scripts. (It is the exact same script with only a path change inside.) Yes, I have put it into the 'Scripts' folder. But when I create a new schedule to run the script, it will not appear in the drop-down list. Weird. Any clues, anyone?

  35. I am attempting to implement a new script that will export data from a linked SQL table (with server level ODBC) into a csv file (created using an XML export with XSLT). The process works without issue when I open the file on my client (from the hosted server) and run the script. However, when I try to schedule the same script to run from the server I am getting an '800' error. I tried writing to the local server, different network locations and get the same result. Hopefully I have provided enough information. I would be glad to add any details needed if I can get to a working result.

  36. Hi, I'm having problems with my solution and would appreciate any help or suggestion that could solve my problem in the shortrun... I have a solution where users can run scripts that requiere a lot of iterative processes with queries. This ends up with 5 or more users using that kind of functionality at the same time and so the fmserverd process gets to 170% of CPU (although the system has 90% idle). This makes the application run slowly. At the moment I am using the pause scriptsept in scripts to help the server so that it does not get to heavy load that easy and I am considering running those processes in the background of users in future versions. 52. Hello, I posted this topic about a month ago, but wanted to get some more input. I am currently running Tiger (10.4.11) and FM Server 9.0.3.326. Awhile back I had a total screw up when Java was updated and Server couldn't support... I'm sure we all remember that. Consequently I've been a little hesitant to do any updates since. I am looking to go with Leopard (NOT Snow Leopard), but want to make sure I'll be doing the right thing before hand. So here are my questions and concerns... (1) Should I even bother going to Leopard? What's the advantage at this point? (2) In what order should I do the upgrades... FM first, then the OS or the other way around?…

  53. My apologies if someone has already raised this, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Until recently, I managed the twice a day updating of a table with data from a txt file using a old computer acting as a robot to run the import script. A month or so back, I thought I would "simplify" the process by scheduling the update to be done via a server-side script, with the txt file sitting in the Documents folder on the server. That all works fine, except that the date format comes in as m/d/yyyy when it runs on the server, instead of d/m/yyyy - which is how it works when the import was run under the robot solution or from my own client software. 54. This is an issue we've run into since installing FM 10 Pro on a Windows 2003 terminal server. Previously, User Name in Filemaker was set the first time a user would log in and launch Filemaker. Now, when users log on, their User Name is being set as the name that was used to register/install FM 10 on the Windows 2003 machine (our database guru). So, on the admin end in Filemaker, it looks like we have multiple people logged in as our database guru, which is obviously causing some confusion when we need to figure out who is actually logged on. Is there a fix for this, rather than having each person manually reset their User Name in Filemaker-Edit-Preferences? Thanks.

I've no problem making fixes to scripts via the script manager on a workstation, off of these files. Another issue came up, so I set up a FMS10 developer server (TechNet Member) so that I could test my solution with multiple clients and the server at my home office. When my solution is on the server, I can't get into Script Manager (It's Grayed out.) I'm logged in with full privileges. I've never had this problem before. Is it due to FMS10? All three have been able to add/delete information from guest computers 2 and 3. All three computers are shut down at the end of the evening. This morning host computer 1 opens FM5 and goes to unique folder for database and does not see all the new information placed into the database for the last two weeks. Guest computers 2 and 3 are able to access host computer and see …

  62. August 27th 2009 Tomorrow, August 28th, Apple, Inc. will release the Snow Leopard OS. Many users of both FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server will be anxious to upgrade their computers to this new OS. All past experience indicates and foreshadows that some features of FileMaker Pro and of FileMaker Server may not function correctly following such an OS change. It would be my judgment that FileMaker® Pro 10 should work fairly well, especially version 10.0v3. FileMaker Server 10 may take some adjustments however. I would therefore recommend that Snow Leopard or Snow Leopard Server not be installed on FileMaker Server machines until FileMaker, Inc. makes some…

  63. I heard some discussion at filemaker devcon about running filemaker server 10 on a dedicated machine with the drive partitioned by 3. One partition for the operating system, one for the database folder and one for backups. Anyone have an opinion on whether this would be a good idea and will it work?

  64. FileMaker Server v7 - v11 · Started by Mental,

I currently have FM9 (Upgrading to 10) on a windows server and am having some reliability issues. I am a mac person and am considering switching to an OSX server but if someone has experience on which OS supports FM Server better that would be extremely helpful! Also, I may even consider hosting this myself but heard that FM is a pretty network heavy application. We use IWP exclusively and average 15 connections around the clock. Our local cable provider has a business class connection but I'm not sure that would be fast enough as it is only 6mb upstream. Wow, I guess I have more questions than I realized. Any help would be appreciated! Randall

  65. Please help!!! Forgive me ahead of time if improper technical jargon is used. I'm a complete novice at this, especially with regards to the FM Server / IT side of things. I'm far more comfortable simply creating databases. We're running FM10 on about 20 clients via FM10 Server (not advanced). The entire company is consistently kicked off the server with the message "Communication with the host was lost...". It occurs anywhere from 2 or 3 times up to 10-15 times daily. The only warning received in the server log is "no longer responding; connection closed" - followed by either (51) or (10). I've gone through all the troubleshooting documents I can and have yet t…

  66. Hi everyone, Thank you for reading my post. I work in a Small Business Server 2003 environment with XP workstations. We've run a Filemaker solution on Server 5.5/Client 6 for about 3 years and that solution is will be upgraded to Server Adv 10 (on a new server) /Client 10 in the next few months. However, it is not a full migration. Many users will need to access historical records in the legacy version after the switch is thrown. The rub: we need to acquire several new computers and we do not want to pay $100 to downgrade to XP. I'm confident in Windows 7 as a production OS and I would like to know if anyone has found success installing Client 6 on Windows…

  67. OK, so it looks like I got myself in a situation. I completely missed the fact that SBS 2008 is not a supported operating system. I guess I just didn't differentiate between Server 2008 and Small Business Server 2008. I am unfortuantely one of those people who has been tasked with developing and implimenting a network and database for the company with very little experience. I have been developing the database for 6 months and am proud to say that with the help of online resources and particularly the people on this forum have been very successful. Now it has come time to put the database on a server for all to access. So we went ahead and bought an entry level server wit…

  68. Hi, I've created a database file that needs to be accessed by three clients concurrently, and I own three computers of the PC variety. One has Vista Business installed and the other have Windows XP currently installed.... so.... the question is! Can I install FM Server 10 on the Vista machine and FM Pro 10 on the two XP machines, and access the database on all THREE machines simultaneously? Or would the Vista machine have troubles acting as papa and bambino... (and is this even possible, regardless of performance?) Thanks for any insight.

  69. I have FMS 9 and read with interest the possibility of getting a corrupt file with a power outage. I am waiting delivery of a APC power supply with powerchute software (I think it will send commands for proper shutdown). Do I need to close the files first, then stop server? or can I just stop server? On restart, I have read to disable the automatic restart of hosted file. How else should I restart the hosted file? I dont want to do this manually everytime there is a power failure! thanks in advance!

  70. Hi, I'm relatively new to FileMaker Pro hosting, and i have just inherited the administration of a FileMaker 7 Server, which has a mixture of Filemaker 7 - 10 file on it. I'm wondering if someone can tell me if there will be problems hosting a FileMaker 10 file on this server? Has anyone out there had experience with this? Cheers

  71. I just set up FileMaker Server and am accessing a hosted database over the internet. I am getting very bad performance when accessed a layout that contains summary fields or sum calculations. Is there any way to improve the speed when accessing these types of layouts?

Hi.. it's time to buy a new server for FM Server 10 to run on. Do i get 1 Xeon 2.8Ghz OR 2 Xeon 1.8 Ghz? Is FM Server Highly multi threaded? Will more cores help or shall i just invest in high Ghz Speeds?

  73. Im pretty sure the answer is no but wanted to make sure. Is it possible to create a relationship between two databases that are on the same FileMaker Server?

  74. I own FM9 Adv, 1 license. We have 4 Macs, MacBook, G4, Mini, G3 iMac. Currently FM DB is on my MacBook and I need the secretary (G4) to start using the DB and IWP won't do it due to printing needs. The needs will be to host the DB on the G4 or on a third computer that both of us can access. I suppose if I host this on a 3rd computer, that it will require a 3rd license, would I be better off getting a sever version for the above situation? -- Also, if I host the DB on the G4 through an 802.11g connection, how will performance of the DB on my MacBook be? -- Would there be any advantages to FM10 for the above?

  75. Does anyone have any ideas of how to work around the limitations of not being able to use the save record as a PDF on the filemaker server 9 advanced?

  76. Forgive me if this isn't the right forum - I'm currently using 5 (not server) and installed 7 (also not server) as a first step toward catching up. But when I convert my current DBs into 7, all the text is blurry, like it's displaying a low-quality .jpg. It's all in Times New Roman but changing it to something else doesn't help. How can I fix this, please? I'm using Vista Home Premium 32 bit (NOT XP). Thanks.

  77. I'm not sure how else to describe it other than, "it's REALLY strange!" I am running our former FM8.5 and FM7 databases just fine on our new FMServer10 software. I just completed a new Filemaker 10 database and am now sharing it through the server---but I'm having a lot of issues with this file and this file only. The FM10 file is designed that it opens under a default limited user account (specified in File > File Options)...but it won't open under that account. It prompts for a username and password! So I added an "On Open" script that does an automatic Re-Login without dialog...and it won't do that either! It still prompts for a username/password and t…

  78. Hey all - I need to create a mirror-like server setup for one of our clients. They are having issues with their ISP which makes their database access slow as heck to and from us. I was wondering if anyone has successfully "mirrored" FMS10ADV databases somehow, and if you have, please explain how you did it, any caveats, etc. Essentially what I'm looking for is a mirroring of the database as quickly as possible when their internet is "good", and a synching later when it's down, very slow or whatever. We also have reps in India who report long lag times accessing our DB's here in the states, and I could see this as being a solution for them as well. I reali…

  79. FMS 9.0.3.326 on Windows XP been working fine, until I decided I wanted to log in to change some backup schedules. I get the "Admin Server Connection Error" after creating a new schedule, and then adding my login info for a script. so I have read all the posts that I can find. I have rolled back my Java version to 1.6_07 (also tried 1.6_05 only) all the ports needed are open. any ideas? somewhere there was the advice to turn off web proxies. I'm a bit of a novice, so not sure how to do that. I'd like to keep the internet available to the server machine if I need to download/install any future updates. thanks in advance for any replies!

  80. I've been running a small web server with FMPro 5 Unlimited for a number of years on a PowerMac G4 with Mac OS 9. Within the last month, the server has been losing HTTP service, where the website is unreachable. FMPro still appears to be running fine on the machine. The problem is corrected when I restart the FMPro software, but then the HTTP goes down again a day later. Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening? I can still ping the server from other machines so the network doesn't appear to be the issue. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

  81. I thought I had this working before but... I want to only be able to access the databases when i'm on the VPN. At the moment access to the files is available from the domain. cheers

  82. Hello, Today I upgraded from FM server 9 to FM server 10. I was excited about the new SMTP feature of the server which would allow me to send emails direct from the server. I was under the impression that FMS10 actually came with it's own SMTP server built in, but now I'm not so sure. It appears that I need to use another third party SMTP server (gmail for example). Is this true? Could anyone explain what this SMTP feature of the server actually is and what it's useful for (if anything)?

  83. My organization is running into the 125 file limit on our current Filemaker server and I am considering creating an additional server to address this problem. Our current version of Filemaker server is 5.5 and it is running OSX 10.4 on a macpro. Can a file on one filemaker server link to a file on another filemaker server? Any help or alternative suggestions would be appreciated.

  84. We currently run FileMaker Server on a single drive on an Xserve, OS and Data. We backup our FileMaker DBs Internally Externally and Offsite. I am thinking of changing the configuration to a single drive with the OS and a RAID0 Mirror using the other two bays. The Mirror would contain only FileMaker data. Does anyone see anything wrong with using TimeMachine to backup the OS drive? I can't imagine it taking long or using a lot of resources since it won't be changing much. My thought is the data will be safe because we have multiple redundant copies plus the redundancy of the mirror. Then we can easily restore the OS drive if that fails from the TimeMach…

  85. Hi everybody Unfortunally this topic is locked, so I write a new one. My problem is this: I use FMSA10 with Lasso 8.5 on a Mac server. In a FM shopping cart solution I made a little script that exports a few fields after a record was added. The script is called vom Lasso with the FMScript command. Everything works fine until the export command. Then the script stops immediately. No file was created and nothing exported. When I start the same script timed by Filemaker Server everything works fine! This means the script is ok. Does anyone has an idea why a script executed by Lasso is not working the same way as if FMS calls it? The script is execut…

  88. I firstly perform an FM Script (Export) then a System script. I am receiving a Status of "system script error" whenever my schedule runs! Even though the shell script performs fine when run from the Terminal. The shell script is just the "mysqlimport" command (with appropriate parameters). I have checked the Execute permissions of the mysqlimport command and all have execute rights. Any thoughts?

  89. Please can you help I have files that were originally developed in version 9 but have been further developed in version 10. They run without issue as stand alone databases but when the are used via FMS9 the local machines crash. Sometimes it is so bad it takes the server down with it. The local machines have no specific task that they crash on and have been everything from old Powerbooks to new Intel iMac's. The FMS9 is also running on a Mac, and was without problems until the version 10 clients and/or these files were introduced. I have run recover and compressed the files and none of this has any impact. The recover process does not find problems with the files. Is …

  90. I have a database with a single remote user who has been logging in regularly for years. When she logs in now, the layouts don't fully load. For example, a menu page of buttons only loads about half the buttons. Thought it was a connection speed problem, but she downloads at 3000K, and my server uploads at 400K. Server & client are both PC's on FM 9. I can login remotely just fine with my Mac. Of course, "nothing has changed" on her end, and "everything else works!" ;-) Her husband it an IT guy, has not been able to solve it, but he is saavy and easy to work with. Any ideas?

  91. I have FMP 10Adv newly loaded on a Windows Server 2003 with 4 cores, 4 GB, and 1.8 GHz per core. I access the system with Remote Desktop. I am running a table migration script against a table of 160,000 rows and 79 fields, migrating to 7 different tables with a variety of rules and calculated conversions. FMP seems to be only using about 50MB with a total of 800 MB in use (nothing else really going on, except a couple of IE windows open, but not used). It looks like this will run about 16 hours (note: after 40,000 records and 8 hours, I figured out to turn on Freeze Window ... so I am expecting an improvement) Here's the thing: The CPU is running at a…

  92. Hey Now, I have a question about software updates. When I upgraded to Server 9 a couple of years ago I just happened to do a Mac OS Software update that totally screwed me up. If I remember correctly, the JAVA update made it so Server 9 couldn't even open. I ended up calling FileMaker, it was a complete mess. In the end, I had to reinstall / restore the whole server to go backwards to 'erase' that update. It really and totally screwed everything up.... since then I've been (understandably) afraid of doing normal updates. Lately, however, I've been experiencing some unusual FMP Server crashes, anomolies, etc. The bottom line is that I think it's time that …

  93. Hi if i double click the install icon the installer comes up in the dock then goes away. Can any one help with my upgrade from v9 of server. (Mac OSX server 10.5.7)? thanks

  94. I've noticed some really odd things happening soon after I updated FMServer from 10.0v1 to v2. Twice now it didn't see the drive/directory where the DB files were being held and also the backup folder. This is after the server had been up and running for a few days. I know that the directories are valid. Once External Authentication stopped working in the middle of the day. After rebooting the server it was back up and running. When either of the two abovementioned problems happened, the console decided to stop responding. I couldn't close any files or disconnect any users. I simply had to force stop the service, which under normal situations is …

  95. I'm having trouble installing server admin on a Mac. While I'm waiting for Apple / FM to sort out the Java 6 issue I want to install the Server Admin Console on a machine outside the network. What port do I have to open internally to allow a server admin condole to access the internal server. Thanks in advance.

  96. I realize that this is probably a dumb question, but before we upgrade, I just want to make sure that I won't need to change everyone's clients if we upgrade the server. We want to take advantage of the web features of server 10. Right now, we're using server 8, and everyone has 8.5 clients. Our databases are in .fp7 format. If we go from server 8 to 10, will we need to change the clients / database formats as well? Thanks a lot! Dave

  97. I am new to filemaker server. We are getting ready to purchase it. I would like to know if the server gives each user thier own "found set" to work with, or if the found set is just one instance across all users. For example, if user X does a find for part 123 and user Y does a find for part 456 - both at the same time, does each get a found set with thier own part, or is there one found set listing BOTH parts? We have a series of parts that users will be searching and adding to thier found set and printing a layout on them - so I need to confirm each user will be able to print thier own finds without it mixing in with other users. thanks.

Hi, I have a pretty big problem here. I have an account layout a contact layout and a Comments layout. The ID for the account layout is attached to the ID for my contacts layout. If account ID = 12 and new contact is clicked Contact ID will = 12 If it is clicked again on the same account it will add another contact with an ID of 12. For some reason in IWP everything works fine if there is 1 contact to an account. IF there is 2 contacts on the same account anytime any of the fields are clicked on the account page IWP crashes. All the buttons and portals work on the accounts page but you cant edit anything. You can edit all the contact information related to these account…

  99. I have a series of databases hosted by a company in California. This company is not particularly customer-centric so, unless you are an IT person, it is difficult sometimes to get a question answered. I'm trying to download a copy of these databases for some offline development but cannot figure out how to get a copy off the server platform. The attached screenshot shows how far I have been able to get. Can somebody tell me what the next step is to make this happen? Thanks, Jarvis
