One of my users has frequent crashes while attempting to send emails. What's the best way to narrow down the issue a bit? The only common thread at this point is sending emails. Windows 10 Filemaker Pro 19.2.1.14 Email Plugin: 4.024506 (I believe) I tried updating to 5.01 but it did not work. I believe it was 100% crash rate, but it was a while back, so I do not remember at this time. Where should I go from here? Thanks,

I have some plugins installed in my solution, after a while the license of one plugin expired and <Function Missing> immediately appeared in every script that used the plugin, when I realized the problem I renewed the plugin license, but the problem remained , the functions were not restored, it seems that filemaker eliminates all types of relationship with the expired plugin, in my case I have around 90 <Function Missing> and I have to redo my code again, that is a lot of work and a big filemaker vulnerability , the correct thing would be for the <Function Missing> to be restored automatically after renewing the plugin license, but it has not worked tha…

I'm starting to notice a few emails are missing in FileMaker after reading them from the email server. I'm assuming they are not getting picked up from the email server. So far, this appears to just be in one email account. What might cause this, how to fix it, AND is there a method for searching for those missed emails. What I mean by "missing" : I can see the emails via the web portal to the email, but not in Filemaker. The script is running a scheduled servier side script. This is what I'm using:

OK, I've got a rather nice FileMaker email solution for a client, and the number of emails that need to be deleted is quite large. I think the only way to delete these from the email server, before deleting them in FileMaker, is setting the "deleted" flag, on a one-by-one basis. Is there a way to do this in a batch without looping through the deletes. Looping through is very slow, possibly 15 seconds per email/record. If I've got thousands to delete, I'd like to be able to do this in bulk. TIA!

Evaluating the email plugin for purchase, but can't get it to return the token. Have created proper Azure AD App with ClientID and Secret. Using the Demo file, I've entered required information and consistently get "Authentication failed, please check authentication info." (despite authenticating successfully into my account) Are there specific App permissions in the Graph API that need to be set that the Plugin documentation doesn't mention? Thanks!

Hi there, I have just downloaded and installed the email pluggin for filemaker 19. I see there are numerous demo files but do you have a run through for integrating Microsoft360 mail? I have never used plugins before but will need to streamline my emails and will require something other than what is supplied with filemaker. Hello, I just upgraded to MacOS Monterey, and downloaded a fresh FM Pro 19.5.3. Then I downloaded and installed Email plugin 4.024506. Every time I start FM Pro I now get the following error: Plug-in initialization error Unable to initialize plug-in child process MacOS Monterey Email-plugin 4.024506 Claris Pro 19.5.3 (Not tested other 360Works plug-ins yet.) I have performed a couple of upgrades from v3 to v4 of the Email plug-in, but for my most recent one I am getting an error on reading emails via IMAP. The connect step runs without error, but when reading emails it tells me IMAP is authenticated but not connected. I have checked the Office365 settings and all looks to be set up OK for auth and IMAP Would anyone have an idea why this would occur?

Why would sending emails from my own machine be slower than others in the office? It's certainly not CPU/RAM related as my machine outpaces their machines by a fair margin. What is the best path for tracing this issue to find the source? For reference, I sent the same email (via script) from four different machines. Three of them took ~3 seconds, mine took >10 seconds. That is pretty typical and it's been like this for months. I just assumed everyone had slowed down until using one of their machines last week for something. Thanks.

Hello, I am running FM pro 19 on windows 10. I am using 360Works email plug in I am wondering if it is possible to delete emails after "downloading" them. I receive RFQ (request for quote) emails from a single sender for a government contract we have. My script reads all the emails and creates a record for each one, parsing out the details of the body of the email into various fields. I then run a script that searches through all those records and looks for keywords so I can determine what RFQ's I can bid on. I then go through those selected emails one by one to make a final decision. I mark each one as a no quote or a quote then proceed from there. B…

I have the 360email plugin installed on our Server (FMS19.3.2) and it has been working fine for months. (Previous versions working for years!) I've been using the Email plugin for about a decade, BUT this is the first time I've needed to pull >100k old emails down from the email server to Filemaker. I'm finding that anything over 2k emails being retrieved seems to choke FileMaker, and retrieving 2k at a time is going to take a loooong time for two email accounts. What have you folks come up with for bringing decades worth of email into FileMaker?

The UID as recorded in outlook comes as a hex value. but when grabbing UID using ReadMessages it comes as a base 10. is there anyway to retrieve it as the same hex value recorded by the mail servers? thx!

Hello, I moved my FMS18 to a new server machine last night and I am now running FMS19. I copied all 360works scripts over from the /Database Server/Extensions folder from the old server - only to find the email plugin would yield FileMakerServer Error 4: Command unknown when called from a server side script. I up dated a server on Monday to FMS19.1 After that WebDirect stopped responding every 2-3 hours while people were using it. This solution only sends 1 type of email using WebD. I downgraded that email from 360email to simple FIleMaker Native email. Since then I only had one issue, there might be other places WebD people are calling 360email. Anyone else having problems with 360Works and WebD? Jerry

Starting june 15th, new gsuite accounts will no longer be allowed to access "less secure" apps that don't use OAuth authentication. In february 2021, all existing account will lose access too. In order to group the emails appropriately, it looks like I have to tag them by attaching custom variables in the header. Can seem to get the Mail plugin to respond on FileMaker Server. At first it wasn't initializing, which we fixed. Now, it simply doesn't respond. We have a script which works fine from the client side, but when run on the server via PSoS, when it gets to the RegisterEmail step, it simply stops. No errors, no logging from either the event.log nor the 360 logs. For now, we're using PSoS, but the intent is to get a timer schedule to run it. In the past I've deployed the Email plugin to receive email for a single email address. Now, I am asked to build a basic email client app in FileMaker. What I want to do is set up a way to allow each user to only pull/receive mail from their unique email account across a single domain name, and possibly sending from their own account. I'm thinking the best way to store each account's specific email address is to create a users table. Then on login, then on the receive or connect functions/script step, pull the user's email address from the users table. Would this be the best way to do this? I created a scratch file to test the functionality and the details given me by the client... The uid returned from the EmailReadMessageValue (uid) was numeric in the range 998-1006 I copied the scripts into a test real file and the same scripts are bringing me back a value like UID1006-1601907140 I re-ran the script in the scratch file under debugger and set results, numeric upwards from 1006 Can you explain the difference between the results, which one I should trust and how do I feed the uid=$value in the EmailReadMessages???

I am a "more than novice, but less than intermediary" Filemaker user. I'm using FMPro v 16.0.6.600 with the 360Works eMail Plug-in v 3.3 on an older iMac (2009 24" Mac OSX 10.14.6) w 8G of RAM. Hello, I'm using FileMaker Pro Server 18 and Email plugin 3.3. When sending multi-part e-mails, the same text in the body is displayed twice. After checking the e-mail source, I wonder if there could be an issue with multipart e-mails, as the email quite normally contains the several parts : one is "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable" and the second one is "Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit". Hello, I'm troubleshooting an GMail import routine that has worked until now. EmailReadMessages ( "mailbox=INBOX" ; "viewed=false" ; "attachments=true" ; "readonly=false" ) returns "Could not determine date/time format: Could not parse timestamp". I have an email account I’m pulling unread messages from without issue but it has grown to have over 30,000 old messages so I’m trying to write a script to delete the read messages. The issue is that I obviously can’t pull all the read messages at once so I created a set of loops one inside the other, I fetch 200 messages then loop through them and flag them as deleted. Then I fetch another 200 and loop around to delete those. The first 200 get deleted but no more after that. Do I need to disconnect and reconnect before each new fetch?

Got the following from my Office 365 tenant today...looks like I will be unable to do "basic" (normal) authenitication for IMAP using the 360Works Email plugin to Office 365 mailboxes starting 10/13/2020. I don't see any mention of OAuth in the current documentation for the Mail plugin, so I'm assuming it doesn't yet exist.... Is 360Works working on adding OAuth functionality to the Email plugin? When running PSoS, I thought the attachments would be stored in the temporary folder and removed when the PSoS-session is over. I find that each attachment creates a folder like "[email protected]" in the Documents folder, and it stays there after the session. I tried to make the script remove it, but ran into some problems. Any suggestions?

FileMaker 17 Advanced on Windows 10 - continues to run in the Task Manager after exiting the program. After removing all plugins (360 Works Email, FTPeek, and Base Elements) FM17 will quit and relaunch normally - I ran that routine four or five times without issue. I reintroduced each plugin and retested. 360 Works Email plugin (released on 6/14/18) is causing the issue. It is requiring a CT ALT DELETE to close FM17 before we can relaunch it as it shows it still running. This has been reported by some of the users in my company. Suggestions?

I am trying to register the email plugin (v3.2) in FMPA17 on OSX Sierra. The registration is initially successful (it is an enterprise license), but if I close and reopen filemaker, the plugin is no longer registered. It seems to not be saving, and therefore does not persist after closing filemaker. Has anybody seen this issue before?

I have recently purchased the Email plug-in to use with my FM Starting Point database. I have signed up with AWS and got my account out of sandbox but can't seem to authenticate. I run the script debugger and it gets past the authenticating with 360 works and only has a problem with it try to connect with my AWS SMTP server. Any ideas? Also, I was able to send successfully with SMTP credentials using the FMP Email Client provided.

I'm currently using 360Works Email with FMP17Adv and Airmail (newest build) on Mac10.12.6. Due to bugs in Airmail and a total lack of support, I'm considering switching to Spark. Has anyone used 360Works with Spark? It would be good to hear any comments, good or bad, because it took me quite a while to get everything functioning the way I want with Airmail, and I suspect I'll have to do it all over again with Spark. Short question - Is there a way to change the Content-Transfer-Encoding when setting the body of an email? Back story - Every week we send an email blast to our folks which is an HTML eCard provided by our podcast provider (VoiceAmerica). We get the eCard as a text file with the HTML code, open the file and put the code into a field. We use EmailSetBody to attach the field to the email as HTML. I am evaluating 360works email plugin and when getting messages from an office365 server I get the following error "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -99"...If I click OK it reduces to "98" but then increases: I assume its retrieving messages and this is the count. Any ideas?

FMP17 updated this morning, and suddenly it can't send email via Airmail anymore. It reports "Could not convert socket to TLS" Any suggestions? I'm generating PDFs on a Mac 10.12.6, printing the PDF to disk, and then attaching it to an email, all scripted. It's worked perfectly for about two years, including upgrading from FMP13 to FMP17 when 17 was released... Any suggestions, or hopefully remedies, gratefully accepted!

Per 360Works documentation for sending SMS Messages using their plugin, I created an Amazon SES Account and IAM User. I created the Access Keys used by the plugin, and I was successful sending SMS Messages for about 10 days. Abruptly, the ability to send SMS has stopped, and I do not receive any errors in my scriptstep "EmailSMSSend" using the FM Debugger. It appears that FileMaker is able to hand off the message to Amazon, and it dies there. I have tried creating other IAM Users (although the plugin only requires the Access Keys). Non-documented use of CMQueueMessage We have been adjusting our email structure and looking at how the received emails show in email clients and we noticed that the CloudMail system was simply adding the From address, so it appeared as: [email protected] <email @address.com> in the header. By changing the information being posted to the from address for CMQueueMessage, I have found that you can change the format to appear in the expected form - name <email @address.com>. e.g. fromaddress = "name <email @address.com>"

hi Guys, I am getting an "access denied" error when I use the 360 SMS send command with AWS. I have the correct Key and Secret key installed, and a true phone number. I've built a system for a client to send html based emails. I'm having a problem that any external email address is rejected by the Send Email function. Looking at the logs I can see the following: I've spoken to the client's IT support who manage their email server and checked all the details used. It appears this is caused by javamail, but we're not sure how to get around this issue. Has anyone had a similar issue, and how did they get around it?

Our office recently replaced a database server and upgraded to FMS17 from FMS16. Now that FMS17 is being used, the Script Engine process terminates abnormally when 2 scheduled scripts using the Email plugin fire-off at the same time. Individually, the scripts run fine. However, run in tandem, they crash FMSE. Any thoughts on why the 360Works Email plugin would allow simultaneous scripts to run in FMS16 but not in FMS17? We are have run the EmailSetErrorCapture("true") not command before our email create command but if there is a bad email address, we are getting a "360 works email error" dialog appearance, which for our looping script is causing major issues since a user has to interfere to click the x.

I've set up the 360Works email plugin with AWS and it's working properly. The 'email from' is an approved gmail account which is an address from our domain. The 'reply to' address is the email address for the contact from which we are sending the email so it is different from the 'email from' address. Our user is selecting a number of her contacts to send an email to, then our script loops through the list and send an email to each recipient one at a time. We need the 'reply to' to be the user's email address. When the email is sent to a gmail address it generates a very scary warning for the recipient. Is there any way to avoid this problem? …

Hello, OS: 10.12.6 FileMaker: 16.0.5.500 360 Plugin: 3.08 I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the 360 works email plugin, The issue is that when it is enabled in FileMaker plugins the inspector doesn't act as it should for example greying out buttons so that I am unable to select them, when it does allow me to select and change various settings upon switching to browse mode it erases all changes that I have made rather than saving them. Enclosed is a screenshot of the inspector when an object is selected. Any help would be greatly appreciated

We have the 360works CloudMail plug-in employed to send batch emails to our participants. It uploads attachments to AWS and includes a download link on each email, however, some of our city clients are being blocked from accessing the attachments by their firewall. We have the domains all fully certified and verified by AWS, so does anyone have any idea what could be the possible cause of this. Thanks in advance, Anatole Beams

A client of ours started yesterday a mail loop. For one mail it went wrong. A person gets a extra mail that was generated for a person that should have get his mail. What I discovered is that person two had a invalid mail address (yes I should check this better in the script) but the mail was send to person one. 360 Works Email in our environment is running slow, and taking some time for some of our emails to arrive. To be upfront, we do have a lot of activity on our system we use at Relevant Radio throughout the day and the plugin is being called on extensively. However, we only use the plugin for one way communication (order advisories). I am not too sure how to bring some of my scripts over to perform script on server, as many of them rely on layout contexts, attachments and links. Hi, I'm demoing a couple of different plugins to bring our email send and receive into our in-house filemaker solution. When testing the 360works demos I can't send via OSX server, we get invalid email address on the Plugin Examples File and when using the Email Client file. I can get IMAP email in but when trying to test the SMTP settings it either hangs or fails.

I've been successfully using this plug-in for a while now to send HTML emails from FM I upgraded to 3.1 Workgroup license in July this year. In the last week suddenly we get an error when trying to send : License is for an older product version Nothing has changed in our FM solution. Attempting to connect to a Office365 shared account. Everything seems to be set up correctly. Connection works find for a normal username email account on 365. Username for the shared account is entered as [email protected]\sharedaccountname which seems to be expected elsewhere with 360works and other places for using shared boxes.. The odd thing, if you change the connection to EmailConnectPOP from EmailConnectIMAP the connection for the shared account works fine and fetches mail. Any ideas to make the IMAP side work?

I downloaded the demo plugin and opened up the Sample Client. I entered an account and tried to connect to our email server running on an OSX server. The email server is Dovecot. I could not get it to connect: The error above was the only thing I was getting. I tried with and without SSL and a variety of ports and both IMAP och POP3. I have been using the new SMS service via AWS and am pretty happy with it - when sending to 10 or so recipients. But, I need to be able to send to about 500 - 600 at one time. I am getting the following error message: (Invalid parameter: Topic Name) -- I can find no place to do anything with the Topic Name. What to do? I could, I suppose, change the script to loop through and send individual texts -- but I was hoping that wouldn't be necessary. I will try this and see how long it takes with a list of around 300 or so.

encrypted with RMail. I get the path to the attachment (.....\Local\Temp\[email protected]\Kadim Sahin.pdf) but when I try to pass it into a container I get ERROR. Not everytime, only sometimes. I am using EmailReadAttachment. When I open the email in Thunderbird or Outlook I can clik on the enclosed document Kadim Sahin.pdf and open (and/or download) it without any issue/error. So I downloaded the 360Works Email plugin 3.08. The Inbound Host is imap.one.com and the port should be 993. I have typed these information: imap.one.com:993. Problem/issue: I keep getting this errormessage: Unknown Error:-1. I know for sure that these settings combined with the ones I have put in Inbound Username and Inbound Password works with Mozilla Thunderbird and Outlook 2016. However the settings in these are SLL/TLS as well. I can not choose SLL/TLS with the email-plugin, so I have tried every possible alternative from none selected to all possible selected without any luck. I keep getting the same error. 1. Is it possible to set up another Temp-standard location for recieving emails (and the enclosed attachments)? 2. Is it possible to make the plugin recieve the attachments in a repeating field (one by one) in stead of all in one text field? This would make it possible to auto get the repeating field to correspond with a repeating calculated containerfield; or in other words getting the attachment into the container field directly as far as the user can tell.

All of a sudden my emails are not working this morning and after trying to figure out a fix I went to my hosting site. I've found a support message stating that as of yesterday... All shared servers will support TLS 1.2 only by 1st of July Older versions of e-mail clients and web browsers might not support the latest TLS. In case your e-mail client stopped working, please update it to the latest version. So I'm guessing the email plugin doesn't support this? Is there ANY way I can fix this?

I just downloaded a trial version of 360Works Email plugin 3.1. I'm looking at it to replace Dacons MailIt. On launch of FileMaker Pro Advanced (16.0.5) on Mac Sierra 10.12.6 (16G1408) a box comes up that says, "Please Wait" as the title, and the message "Preparing plug-ins for first use" with a progress bar. The percentage very slowly increases. I went to lunch, and when I came back, it was only up to 23%, so I did a force-quit of FileMaker (there isn't a Quit menu item). I removed the plugin and relaunched FileMaker, and all is normal. I quit and put the plugin back in Extensions, and the same "Please Wait" box came up. As I've typed this, the percentage is st…

Working with your new SMS via AWS and it is working fine -- but, I have set a default sender ID in my AWS account but it doesn't use it -- the texts are sent simply from a number that I don't recognize. How can I specify a sender name. The AWS documentation says the default can be overridden so I am wondering if the plug-in is overriding my default? Thanks for the help, Martie

We just moved to a new server running FMS16. Windows, hosted on AWS. I installed the email plugin (v3.04) on the server and enabled it. It works fine when using FileMaker client running locally. When I try to run use the plugin either in a PSOS script or from WebD (local or PSOS) it hangs the server. I have verified that Java 8 v131 is installed on the server, the plugin is installed and enabled on the server. If I show a dialog with get(installedFMPlugins) it shows 360Works email v3.04 is installed and enabled.
