When I click into a field in either Browse mode or Layout mode a light blue glow appears around the field border. I have seen posts that said that you can’t get rid of this blue glow because it is a built-in feature of FM to indicate that this is the field that currently has focus. It is very annoying and, if you can’t get rid of it, is there a way to at least change the colour from blue to something that better suits your theme? Below is an image showing what I am talking about.

Can anyone acknowledge/confirm? I notice some strange behaviour with FileMaker 19.1.2 and also in 19.2… I have these files that are already hosted for years on FileMaker Server, gradually evolving from 7 to 19. Over the years those respective files got their own theme, and until now the behaviour was something like: "use the last used theme" or something. So for new layouts, I get Minimalist or the custom theme of the file. Now all of a sudden, I get this butt ugly (sorry) Apex Blue theme on new layouts, and it is very annoying. I probably have to take the files locally and force some new defaults in them, but anyone having experience with this?

I would like to bump this unanswered question from more than a year ago. I cannot believe everyone is OK with this behaviour.

I'm using FM Pro 17.0.7.700 on a 2015 iMac running OS 11.6.1. It's been a while since I had to add/change fields and I do not belive I've had to do that since I started using v. 17. I was in the "Enlightened" Layout and wanted to change a field from Arial to Times New Roman. I could not do it. I could change the field color, I could change the font size, but I could not change the font. Is there a secret handshake for this process or am I missing something very obvious? Thank you for any help. Oh, is it possible to NOT have a Theme?

Greets, all: I feel sheepish asking this, but I think it's style-related: When a user double-clicks on a word in a text field to edit or delete it, it doesn't highlight (as it does in a word processor)--is this something that I need to script using a script trigger, or did I inadvertently mess up the assigned style so words don't highlight as they should? *heavy sigh* I can be soooooo dense sometimes. Checking a file with BE it throws me the error "Style has no name! This style has no name, and so won't appear in the style list, even though it exists in the file. This is a bug in FileMaker Pro, and there is no simple way to clear out the style as it can't be located. They don't cause problems, but do take up a small amount of space. You can try saving the style changes or the theme to clear these out." But neither saving all Styles on all Layouts nor saving or renaming the Theme works. Does anyone have any idea how to fix that? I design application UIs in programs like Sketch & Figma. When they get built in FileMaker, the fonts look terrible. Here's an example of Georgia Regular 24pt. attached as a screen shot. It's a bit easier to see if you actually open the attached image...The FileMaker font is in the middle. Notice how much heavier the characters are. They look so blunt compared to the same font in other programs. Does FileMaker use some antiquated rendering engine or something? I'm sure someone in the FM community must know something about fonts... Thanks.

Is it possible to achieve an unbroken border (manual border and not field border) across the header, sub summary, body and footer irrespective of the number of records on display (see attached)? I can only achieve an unbroken border when there are four records on display. Each part has it's own border, that had to be slighlty longer than the part in order for the line to be unbroken. I'm about to start a solution that needs quite an amount of layout forms and I would like to create a consistent design based on my own custom theme that has already been developed in a separate file. I use Material Design specs as style guideline and the solution is build under the separation model, so all the data is in a hosted file. I'm considering one of these two strategies: Create a repository of interface elements (text fields, tab controls, combos, portals, etc.) in a separate file (that's mostly done) and copy generic elements into my solution as I build the needed layouts or Create layouts quickly, overlooking style and apply my theme when al…

I use specific color codes in Filemaker, but am forced to store the color codes separately (outside of filemaker). Is there anyway to have stored in filemaker and then maybe even "auto-populate" in a specific field type?

I have avery big solution that was built in FM7 originally and it needs a UI overhaul. So, no themes are as good as they are I am rolling up my sleeves and putting together a reference design. have been looking around at design templates to lift (speaking frankly) and I like the FM Starting Point design. However there are a few things I need to tweak that I can't readily see how to do it in Inspector. The main one is the height of the tabs in the tab controls. They are too high for my layouts. The styles eyedropper does not seem to be working properly. When I copy a style from one text object to another using the style eye droppers, the down-arrow turns red wanting me to re-save the style! I can apply the styles from the styles pane with no problem. Is this normal? I'm using FMP 15 Adv.

Hi Guys, I've tried a few times too no avail to figure out a way to set the colour of some background objects within my db. Basically, I'm setting things up with a default color scheme, but would like to be able to customise the scheme based on the clients preferences. As I work primarily with Sports Organisations, they all have specific colours that they utilise, and it would be easier and far less time consuming for me if I could select a few colours (primary, secondary, tertiary colors) to allow for much quicker customisation of the db instead of going through the whole system and changing every single Object Style. Can you clear a style of the Hover, Pressed, Etc. state? If I understand correctly, button Hover, Pressed, Etc. states are not specified, then the Normal state is used throughout. Greets, all: I'm tweaking the Electric theme's CSS but can't figure out which line of code I need change when it comes to the text field so it doesn't cut off the text's descenders. (Descenders are the parts of a lowercase letter that dip below the rest of the text; the letters g, j, p, and y.) See the attached graphic to see what I mean. As coded, if you were to click in a text box ('Focused' state) the descenders appear as they should; 'unfocused', they don't. How can I apply a different color to each tab control panel?

Wondering if anyone can explain to me how font's work in filemaker. We often find when importing and exporting data from one filemaker file to another the font gets changes both in font size and formatting. Does anyone have any advice on how this works? Best, Rich

My layout has the classic theme. When I modify the Edit Box style and save it to the current style, I cannot change the theme. The options "save change to theme"," save as a new theme" and "rename theme" are all grayed out. Only the Revert changes to theme is available. Why is this happening?

This pertains to a known issue with FM on Windows, where the fonts in a solution change to a .TMP font due to printing to PDF. https://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15419/ I posted about this issue a long time ago, got the fix from the FM Knowledgebase (delete a file and restart). That fixes it temporarily - but it returns about once per week or two. I upgraded to FM15 hoping that would fix it for good, but it's happening again. I use FM15 Advanced, Windows 7 Professional, Acrobat X (and XI on another PC - it happens on BOTH). I don't have Adobe Reader installed on either PC. What is a “layout background” style that appears on the Inspector? Why are there no defaults for part backgrounds (header, body, footer, etc.)? How do you set defaults for parts?

Hi I wonder if someone else experienced this, i recently upgraded my filemaker licence to a 15 expecting it to work better and more stable but to my surprise i find that it is a lot slower than 14, records take forever to sort and load and even just when trying to change from Layout mode to browse mode or vice versa it takes a couple of seconds longer than 14 did which i find very disrupting to my development.

Windows 10. Many layouts I created in FMP 12 do not appear properly in FMP 15 Preview mode. Object against the left margin are cut off at the margin-as if they extend a few points into the margin. However, the layouts print properly.

When using the Field tool to create a field on a layout, what determines the font size and field height? For me, it’s Arial 12, with a field height of 22 pts. Is there any way to control the default font size and field height?

A lot of my fields are filled with content pasted from websites. In FM11, I never had this problem, but FM12 paste's the font, color, and blue text links. Is there anyway to change it so it pastes just plain text? Thanks!

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas why this would be happening. I've been working on a database that was originally created in FM 11 but has been converted to work with FM 14. I went to format a checkbox set the other day, and I don't have any of the additional options that are standard for FM 14 (see screenshots). I ended up creating the style I wanted in a FM14 database then copying it to the converted one. A bit of a bugger and a little time consuming. Hi all, I am new to the forum and new to FM-Pro14. I have been knee-deep reading books and tutorial videos on it for 2-3 weeks so far. I am stuck on a problem and I can not find any documentation. I wonder if someone can help. FM14 Advanced 14.04 I have a solution with about 15 files. All use the same Theme - Classic under the Basic group. I use the default font (Arial). Today, I opened every file and every one has the font set to [email protected] I checked the theme and they are all still using Classic under the Basic group. So I tried to change the theme. As soon as I do, in any of the files, the Classic theme is gone in the menu. At the bottom of the font menu are 5 or 6 of these same fonts with slightly different letters. Hey all. I have a database I inherited that uses a lot of Text objects formatted to look like buttons. As I am going threw and modernizing this system, is there any tangible benefit for me to re draw these objects as buttons? On the one hand, why should I bother? I have all the same tools in the Inspector for buttons and for Text objects (drop shadows, boarders, fill, hover state) so I can just use special 'button like' styles for these text objects. By and large all the buttons look OK. On the other hand, are there any behind the scenes benefits I am not aware of? I am using FMPA13. Recently, I noticed the layout font changed by itself, and messed up the formats on certain layouts that still look fine on FMGo. Any ideas what may be going on? I have tried to change UseSystemFormatsState, but it does not seem to work. Any help would be great. Thanks

I don't even know where to begin.  I have a db...In every layout for every tableâ��in spite of the fact that their parts all have a white fillâ��the background turns red in preview mode. I'm using 12, so if I change the theme, this doesn't happen, but if I change the theme back to classic, I get the red background again. I put white rectangles covering the layout parts and that helps; except at the part boundaries, you can still see red and there's nothing you can do about it.  Any ideas where to being troubleshooting? When upgrading from FM12 to FM 14, we are having a problem with the font size on our dropdown fields. Even though the field is set to a font size of 12, when the field is clicked and the the dropdown list appears, the font size very small, a 8 or 9 font size. I tried changing the field to a popup, but with the same results. It worked fine in FM 12. We are using Win 7. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

We have a database that's been upgraded from FM9 through FM14. It works great, except for today one of our users (on Windows) said that she was seeing gibberish on the Tab control. We looked at it on Mac and did not see the gibberish, but did see that the fonts were not being rendered properly (e.g. we have 3 Tab panels on the Tab control, and all are set to Trebuchet MS 12, yet one shows as Trebuchet MS 12, but the second and third are showing up as Arial or maybe Helvetica. I am building new layouts for a legacy database to take advantage of FM14 themes, and have experienced a Senior Moment. I have created a new theme by modifying one of FM's standard themes. After adding a new field, I want to format it as a checkbox set. The Inspector dropdown only presents a choice for Edit Box. How do I persuade the theme to permit changing the field format to other formats?

This is driving me a bit batty. I have a style set for my edit fields. Sometimes Ill attach a Script to an edit field. So I went ahead and assigned hover, pressed, and in focus states. I figured these states would be ignored if there is no button attached to object. But not the case! On a text object, not field. theres is no issue. Is there something i can do to fix this? I want to avoid making a nother style set, one normal and the other with button attributes.... this will double the amount of styles! Thanks for any help or suggestion.

Greets, all: I've been using a customized theme (based on the Electric theme) for over a year now and want to tweak the body part so the line dividing records (while in List view) is a different color. The problem is, I can't find the theme. I went the usual route: FileMaker app icon > Show Package Contents > Resources > Theme, but it's not there...and nor do I see it in the Resources folder, either. Just beginning to work with Themes, and I have a lot to learn. I created a layout with the river theme, and somehow set the background to anchor both left and right, so it expands to fit the screen. Pretty simple, right? Problem is, I cannot remember how I did this, and cannot recreate the condition on another layout.  I don't think I'm working on the right part - the background doesn't really seem to be modifiable - the anchor selectors are inactive when I pull up the inspector for the background. Anyone know how to go about this?  Â

Every now and then, upon going into Layout Mode and back to Browse Mode, all layout objects revert to the Default Style of the Layout Theme. The overall theme and other layouts remain unaffected. What might be causing this? I have never had this issue when using FileMaker 13 Advanced on a Mac. It happened consistently when using FileMaker 12 Advanced on a PC, so I assumed the issue was with using Filemaker 12 on layouts that were mostly made in 13... but today it happened a few times when using FileMaker 13 Advanced on a PC. The database is using a custom theme, similar to the built-theme called Enlightened. Its happened on a variety of layouts.

I am new to using themes and styles. I have chosen the onyx theme for my new project. My issue I am having is for tab controls I put in the layout are not formatting when I change object attributes. I have set fill and line to no fill and no lines yet it still shows up with borders and a bar behind the tab selection area. I use transparent tab panels for a lot of user interface objectives and have wasted hours trying to figure out why it won't change when I make them in the inspector bar

I have searched and surprisingly can't find the answer to something that seems so simple. I am trying to change my fonts on the tab controls, but can't seem to change them for the inactive state. Anytime I try to select them even in layout mode it makes it active and only changes the active font. I have tried what seems to be every key combination when selecting them but nothing works. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but thought I'd ask anyways since I wasn't able to Google an answer... Is there a way to switch between different themes using a script? Specifically without duplicating a layout, changing the theme, and switching between the two layouts?

Hi- I've always made FP layouts from scratch, but this time I decided to use the layout wizard to create a themed layout. I'd like to unlock all the elements in the template to customise it, but I can't select items such as the background panels in order to unlock and move them. Is this possible? Thanks, Jon

I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong folder, but this seemed closest. I know that when I set up custom colors and then log out, those colors are not maintained. I created a layout that has samples of each color that I need to use regular in other layouts, however I'm having a hard time with how to add those back to custom colors each time I log in. (I feel like this is a REALLY dumb question, and I've just come back from a vacation, so I'm probably just missing it.) I have an almost completed solution where I started with the "Classic Theme", but have customized every field, portal, button, etc. Everything is a local style, and I would like to now convert my work into a new theme. I started on one layout, and it was very straightforward to select objects, select and save them as a new style, and then save the "Classic Theme" as a new "Custom Theme." So far, so good. However, when I go to another layout, I don't seem to be able to add to the "Custom Theme" I'm building. In previous versions of FMP the default text color was black. Now, in 12... it is white. At least on my copy. I thought I knew how set default color, text justification left, center and right. But, now it seems like it no longer works. What am I missing? brobins

Im trying to build a database for my work which is at a music venue. I have already built a layout to record all information at the end of every night . What I now need to do is make it so if I look up a particular band I can see laid out the date of every time they have played as well as other information such as the amount of people who paid to get in and such.

I don't know where else to ask this. Whne I'm on a particular screen at 100% in looks fine. When I minimize to 75% all the black print is graued out. I can still enter, etc., but hard to see because of the gray. Any ideas?

I have a report I want to print that looks fine in browse mode. It has a white background with some field boundaries displaying as well (attached image one). When I enter preview mode or save a PDF of the report all of a sudden the background is grey and some of the field boundaries are gone (attached image 2). Any idea what I have setup incorrectly? Other list reports in the database print fine. Â "Show field frames when record is active" and "Delineate fields on current record only" are both unchecked in layout setup. Â Thank you

All versions of FM allow the pasting of any shape graphic objects into layouts. In previous versions of FM (my last version was 10 - I skipped 11 & 12), if you selected an odd shaped graphic properly so that the copied graphic included only the shape of the graphic, you could paste it into an FM layout and it would display properly against any color background. In version 13, no matter the shape of the original graphic, it displays in FM as a rectangle with any unused space within the rectangle filled with white. Does anyone know how to get around this?

When you drag a field from the new hovering drag field window, the black and white with the translucency, it assumes the theme of your layout both in the label and in the field. Very nice. But when you change the name of a field and you want to create a label to go along two things don't go as they should, they are omissions that is. The first one is that the label doesn't automatically change to the new field name, at least not always, this behaviour has been unpredictable for me. But even if you check the create label button, the label created doesn't match the layout format. This is certainly an omission imho.

I have a little resource file of various little symbols, icons and dingbat-like graphics I've used in my old layouts over time, but they don't go very well with the new FMP12 thematic styles. By any chance is there a resource I'm overlooking that supplies a host of theme-appropriate icons designed to address a range of common actions? For instance, I have a little graphic with a red 'X' inside a circle that I used to put on portal roles as a Delete button -- but it doesn't "go" with the theme I'm using in 12. Hello, simple question... I have filemaker pro 12 and I am trying to change the object effects but for some reason I do not have an object effects option in the inspector or the formatting toolbar. It's driving me crasy. Every time I click an object in the layout mode in FM 12 it moves a pt or so. I'm continuously re-aligning fields and objects. I suspect I'm not the first to have this problem.

Anyone here use Dropshadows / box-shadows on their layouts? From what I can tell the only performance impact they have is on the client's rendering, i.e. some poor performance PCs may render a little slower if there are a ton of dropshadows, which honestly doesn't matter to me, just the networking/bandwidth issue (like pushing pictures with the layout). Editing a custom theme CSS file helps with getting the right dropshadows. Also, has anyone had any luck with making text shadows? I've read that tex-shadow is ignored by FMP12. For now I've been stacking text objects with a slight offset to make a "fake" shadow but it's annoying when you have t…

Hi, I am trying to find the CSS code to disable portal row highlighting. (Filemaker 12 adv) (or change the highlight color) I copied an empty portal (no fields) to the clipboard. Loaded the clipboard into Textmate. Than I can read the fmxmlsnippet of the Filemaker Portal I can change borders, background color etc. (load it back into the clipboard and paste it into Filemaker -works-) But I cannot find the way to disable the highlighting of the portal. There is a line that references to the highlight color but that seems to do nothing when I change it. Any ideas Thanks Henk Rotterdam Holland

Seems to be restricted to a particular file but borders and text shading only shows when a record is selected and doesnt print. Maybe I have done something odd? cheers

I have converted many of my FM 11 files to FM 12 with no problems. However, I do experience a large number of annoyances when working with the converted files in the layout mode. I really can’t tell if these are issues with FM 12 or the conversion processes. Here are some of them. 1. Quite often, objects “jump” and slighlty change position when clicked with the mouse. I have to re-align mannually. The jump is about a pixel. Even being extremely careful when clicking with the mouse doesn't help. 2. Ctrl-Shift-Drag a field does not constrain the duplicate to be line with the original object (as it did in FM 11). It’s off-set is must be positioned manually. This …

Is there a way to control the original window? When you open a file, you cannot specify what kind of window opens (FMP12) nor the controls.

This is probably a small thing ... unless it catches you off guard like it did me ... I use webdings for creating buttons because they are low resource and color can change via conditional formatting. But when I convert to 12 and apply custom theme, Webdings changes to the theme font as well and all those graphics become worthless text. Just be aware of it. :-)

I'm having a bit of problem finding the solution to what I want to accomplish. I have a layout with a 15 tabs. I want to have the label and possibly the fill color on the Tab that's currently selected change from black to white. I'm on FMP12.

I chose a layout theme and I now want to change ALL the colors. The only problems I've run into are that I can not find a way to change the quickfind button line when it is in hover mode, and I can't change the color of tabs that are not currently chosen. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Hello How can you access the print layout in the style sheet or XML file? This may be a surprise but I don't want the theme color or image to print in the background. Any time I try to select just one field or object in a layout I have to move any object that surrounds the one object I am trying to move. Please tell me there is some easy solution to selecting THE object that I want. Â In the attached screenshot there is a box outline that surrounds all of the fields. In order to select any one of the displayed fields I have to remove the outline. This seems crazy.

Hello, Hope some is able to help me out here. I run a business, of which I track almost everything with File Maker. Is what I want to be able to do is take all the invoices from 1 month, add up the total and display that, and also be able to display the total number of sales for that month. I then want to put this onto a graph. They way it is setup is we have used the Invoices starter file, and then heavily adapted it from there. I have created a new table to store this information in, and create the graph from, but not sure how to go about adding the data and getting it in there. Thanks Sam

The new button states in FM12 are awesome but at the same time they are driving me a bit crazy. I find myself spending a lot of time trying to clear out unwanted settings that are inherited from the theme. Is there a shortcut that I can used to assign the same button state to all of them (e.g., Normal State, In Focus, Hover, Pressed)? For example, if I attach an image to the "Normal State", I want an easy way to auto-assign the same graphic to all of the other states. Thanks.

Hi I'm trying to create a "pop-up window" so users can select items from and return to the main layout. I also want to save the window location for user convenience, so the next time the selection window is called it'll show up at the same location as when it was closed. I set up a button to call the script that brings the window up and two global fields to capture the window's location when it's closed. Everything is working. The problem I'm having is when the main file is opened. I am using FM 12 Adv. This button is composed of 3 parts: "Add Patient" text, a + graphic and the green rectangle. I 'grouped' all 3 together. I decided to add some 'custom style' to this button. I choose yellow for "In Focus". The problem is that when I put the focus over the button, each of the 3 elements 'lights up' as I pass the mouse cursor over it. Question: "Since all 3 elements are grouped as 1 element, shouldn't the Custom Style apply to all elements as if they were one ? Thanks Ron

Hi, Has anyone had problems with layouts not converting as they should? I have one layout in particular, very complex, that's been fine since version 8 , 9,10 and 11 Advanced that's quite messy after conversion to 12. Blocks of text pasted onto the LAYOUT now have borders that are not specified in the inspector. It shows no line but these objects (non-data) now have borders. I've found no way to remove these.

Howdy, all: I'm using a custom theme in a solution that has presents text color in white. Fine. The problem arises when a user clicks the Copy button in the solution that copies a field's contents: when pasted in another app--like TextEdit or WordPad--the text is white because they accept the style the text was created in. I'm having a devil of a time trying to code a script so that it temporarily turns the field's text black--which I've managed to do using Conditional Formatting and setting a global number field ("1" = black text, "0" = white text) as a condition--then copy it so it can be pasted as black text elsewhere. I am finding FM12 extremely frustrating as a development platform. While in layout mode some simple tasks are much, much slower than in FMP11, particularly on layouts with lots of objects. Even when working locally on a DB using a fast PC or Mac, when working on a layout with a large number of objects (e.g. Multiple tab objects, buttons, fields etc) simply moving a field by a couple of pixels, then going back to browse mode can take 5 seconds of beach ball time. Dragging objects can also take 2 or 3 seconds between clicking and dragging and the object actually moving to the pointers location. This is particularly annoying as you can easily drag objects uni…

I been using Filemaker since version 7, and never had this issue. But with FMP12, I've had layouts that spontaneously disappeared from a file. This happened twice in the past few weeks. I don't know the exact sequence of steps, but I think it might be related to duplicating/renaming layouts. Anyone else run into this problem?

Hey guys, this is my first time here on FM Forums. I have a problem with something. Since I`ve written in swedish in FileMaer I`ll explain a bit what the problem is. The posts on the portal is the jobs I`ve created today. I want to be able to click on the adress and then come to a layout with web viewer with google maps that shows the adress. The problem is that if I klick on any of the adresses it always goes to the post that are currently " active " lets say I stand on post 4 in the portal but I click on post 5, I still get the address of post 4.. I want it to understand which address I click on. Any suggestions?:)

Filemaker 12 lets you set the style of new windows that are created by a script, so you can disable things like scrolling, zoom, maximizing, etc. But how do you set these options on the FIRST window that opens when the database file is launched?

Hi All, I don't if this problem is just mine as it has not been mentioned anywhere in this forum but the default font setting just does not work for me. My default font is set to Verdana but everything comes in Helvetica. I also notice that , as in FM 11 and earlier, I can not click on an area outside any field and select a font. This means that I have to create my fields and then use Format painter to get the desired font. Bummer

I have two tab controls on a FM12 themed layout. On one, the unfocused tab highlights when I mouse-over. On the other, the tabs do not highlight when I mouse-over. What controls the highlight on mouse-over? I do not have any triggers set on either.

I converted a database from FM11 to FM12 with Tab Controls. The Tab Control works just fine until I added some new objects. The new objects (fields) that I added now appear on every tab page. ...they are supposed to just appear on the first tab. For the life of me, I can figure this out. Any hints?

Okay, I've dived in and am trying to go ahead and use the new theme-based layout tools and am running into a couple questions. 1) I understand that 12 has done away with the stock"Emboss" and "Engrave" options, and my impression is that such effects can be achieved more beautifully in 12 . . . if you know how? But I don't! So lets say I have a coup of 7 fields and I want to put them on what looks like an engraved or embossed platform. How do I do that? Am I correct that in v12 the only way to set up the default font/size etc for new fields is via the theme?

As a new user to FM, I'm not sure what the best Template would be for my situation. I want to create a database for Young Student Drivers. It would include names, start date of course, entries for 9 road lessons and 1 entry for road test. I'd like to be able to quickly check on what students are nearing their road test. Are there options of having an alarm or notification pop up within a week of their road test? Sorry for my ignorance here. I just want to get started on the right foot and the right Template. FileMaker provides clear instructions for creating a custom theme: http://www.filemaker...ustom.23.9.html ... but nothing on CSS and on modifying themes for FMP12 (nothing that I've found, so far). Other than "learn CSS", can someone familiar with CSS provide a few tips to help us get a toehold. I've attached a screen capture of a simple FMP12 text field with scroll bar (from the Cool theme). The new GUI design tools in FM12 are awsome. Has anyone figured out how to design custom themes or modify the existing ones?

I used "Other Symbol" to return "Current Date" and then in Inspector I choose custom date format. Without any understandable reason I got back date format in Serbian language. I'm from Serbia but my FileMaker 12 Advanced is set to English as default language as well as my Windows7 Ultimate. I want date to see in English, no matter from where I'm watching at it. Does anyone know is there some solution to make Inspector returning date in English or I just found a bug? Best Regards

Two particular deal-breakers: One, Most of our layouts contain many hundreds of stacked objects. When in layout mode we can no longer click in the center of transparent objects to get to objects underneath. We can only select the frontmost object, transparent or not. I can't imagine what this will do do our productivity. Two, We use conditional formatting extensively. In one case we highlight a portal row, passing the record id as a parameter from a button calling a navigation script. We conditionally format the highlight on that particular record.
