FileMaker Go for iPhone & iPad

I'm developing a Go solution. I have a simple edit box to type in a search. The layout part's background is dark blue with white text. On Pro, the cursor is white, like the text. On Go the cursor is almost the same color as the background, so the user can't tell their cursor is actually in the field and ready for input. I'm running the app on my iPhone connected to my Mac and sharing the file, so I know it is running the same thing. I have created a brand new edit box and it does the same thing - white on Pro, an almost invisible blue on Go. Any ideas?

IOS 17, iPhone 12. I have a file that is in the on my phone folder in Files. All of this is just a test since I'm still getting the hang of this. Long story short, when I make changes in FM Go, those changes are saved, but the file that's in the on my phone folder of Files is not being updated with the changes. The modified time doesn't change, and I sent a copy of it to my iCloud folder, then opened it with my laptop, and the changes weren't there. Soooooo, where exactly is the file being saved to?

I have a file for use on my iPhone, however, it’s taking the place of something that was kept on paper, so initially, I entered all the info that needed to be there from my laptop, and all went well. I’ve sent the file to my phone, and in FM Go, when I enter info, it won’t save it unless i go to another record then back. This is on existing records, I haven’t tried it on new records. I’ve made sure to hit done, and to tap somewhere out of the field. When I close the app and re open it, the data is gone, unless I go to another record before closing it.

I'm setting up a file for FM Go on my iPhone. It's a 13 with IOS 17. I have a couple buttons in the top section that, on my laptop, are the same size as a couple of the fields, but when I look at it on my phone, still connected to the laptop, the buttons are much bigger. I tried to pinch my fingers on the screen, thinking maybe it was zoomed in, but that did not do it. I did resize the buttons down so that on the phone, they fit, but does anyone know why things in the top section show up differently than on the phone?

IOS 17, iPhone 13. On my file, I have a couple fields that are setup to format the text as all caps. It works fine on the laptop, but on the phone, it's not formatting the text as caps. Is there anything I need to set differently? Also, when entering numbers, is there a way to make FM Go change the keyboard to a number pad instead of the regular keyboard?

I've got a file that I've been using on my laptop, but now have it on my iPhone. I travel a lot, and sometimes don't have internet when I need to use this, and as I understand it, the file either has to be on a server, or live on my device, so the on my device option it is. Here's where the problem comes in. If I want to make changes to the version that's on my phone, that has to be done in Pro on my computer, which I did, and then sent a saved copy of the file to my phone. I have a file that calculates elapsed time. There is a Start field, End field, then a time zone offset field. Sometimes what I am tracking goes across time zones. The offset field is just a number, and I've always been able to enter either a number or a negative number. In the mean time, the elapsed time field is a calculation of End minus Start, then add the offset. I duplicated the layout, then made changes to it for FM GO, but the changes were only the size and layout of the fields. In the offset field, it's making me enter a time instead of being able to enter just a number.

The video is an iPhone X and when the keyboard is opened, the width of the Card window shrinks. It returns when the keyboard is dismissed. I’ve left open space on the right side of the screen in case it has something to do with a scroll bar, with no change. I’ve shortened the vertical length to assure no scroll bar should be triggered. I'm triggering a BEEP on FM GO for important alerts. Is there a way for me to determine (programmatically) if the iPad/iPhone's volume/ringer is turned down or even off? If not, is there a workaround or another viable option which isn't reliant on what an end-user might do to silence the device?

The settings in my iPhone X are set within FM GO 2023 to allow 'Location,' but as you'll see below, LAT & LONG are blank. I've tried all 'Location' settings with no change. Could this be due to the fact that I'm indoors and not in line of sight with satellites? If so, is there any way to record the phone's Last Known GPS or similar? Hello everyone, I am sorry if this question seems extremely basic but I just started a new job as a system admin where many of the employees are using filemaker apps to perform essential job functions. There are a group of employees that are using filemaker go on their ipads. A few days ago a new employee started working and got an ipad that was used by a previous employee. This ipad already has the logged in previous user and I need to change it to the current employee using the ipad. Where can i change this? I am completely new to Filemaker and have never used it before.

Hi, I am copying a scanned pdf on my iPhone and am passing the clipboard to FilemakerGo via Shortcuts. Inside my filemaker file, I am running a script to paste the clipboard into a container field. While this works with images, it does not work with pdf files. Am I on the wrong track to do this? Or is FilemakerGo not able to copy the clipboard into a container field? I tried to do the same copying the clipboard into the mail app and it works perfectly. Thank you

I would like to hide the Menubar and Toolbars except for the Quick Find feature (I'll take all the find features if you can't specify just one). So far the only way I can see how is to: Show the MenuBar Make a Custom Menu Set for users that removes the ability to Create Records, etc. But the above requires me to then modify all user scripts to run with full access privileges as I've scripted the creation of new records.... And also to question whether this will affect any portals that utilize "create new records via this relationship" Am I missing an easier setup?

On my FileMaker Pro 19.6.3 database I have a Date field that has the pop up calendar. I can click on the Date field and either use the calendar to select a date, or use the Delete key on my keyboard to remove the date and leave it blank. When I use that same database on my iPad I can still select the Date field and I can use the calendar to select data. However, I cannot use the delete key (or any key) to remove the date and leave the field blank. Any thoughts? Thanks.

hey all hope somebody can help. Very easy Q. What is the easiest (and cheapest) way to share a single database on v19 with just myself, but so I can access it via FM Go over the internet. I can share it easily with myself when I'm at home using network sharing. But I need it over the internet so I can access it when I'm away from home. Seems FM Cloud / WebDIrect is only available for 5 users+ and quite costly, for me on my own for a simple system. It's only just me that will access it. Is there a good method? thanks Davinity x

A while back I did something so that top/bottom toolbars would display dark (as seen in attached photo) rather than the customary white, but I forget how I did it and the phone screen displays white bars. Any help getting dark bars on the iPhone layout?

Hello all, I am developing an app for a trucking company. The trucks will drive in and out of internet covered areas. So, I will need to store the data on the iPad and synchronize it with the server whenever internet is available. I have developed a working prototype. There will be approximately 60 trucks using this app. With the inconsistent internet quality, there are so many things that could go wrong. I am hoping to learn from others with similar projects, how they mitigate connection and disconnection issues. TIA John

Filemaker Go 14 and iOS 9.2 I have discovered that to run a file from iCloud Drive, I must download it to FM Go. I can't run it directly from the iCloud Drive. So now I have added data to the file on the iPad, and I want to put it back on the iCloud drive. There seems to be no way to export the file to the drive -- I can send it to Message, or Mail, or Notes, or even Dropbox, but no iCloud Drive. Am I experiencing another BCK error, or is there really no way to get the file back to my Mac via iCloud drive?

Good evening all. I am developing an App for the iPad where I need to import new orders into a FileMaker Go orders database from a Google Cloud Drive. I need to process the order in FileMaker Go then export the updates to Google Drive. From what I have read FileMaker Go can only import and export from the Documents or the Temp folder. Neither of the folders appear to be accessible from another app, I am using FileBrowserGo to sync with Google Cloud. Hi. Is it possible to detect the name (SSID) of a Wireless network I am connected to on an iPad through FMGo? I can detect if its a WiFi or cellular connection, and I can get the assigned IP address, but need to know the actual Wifi name - as the above two details are not enough. I thought about adding a GPS location in there too hoping it would help, but as it's a large warehouse, sometimes the GPS data is not precise enough. A WiFi name would solve all my problems. I’m developing a system that, among other things, will communicate with users via FileMaker Go in a vehicle. I can’t rely on a beep to get a drivers attention. Does anyone know of an external device, Bluetooth or otherwise, that I’d be able to access programmatically to activate at desired times via script such as a buzzer, light, etc?I have the same need to be able to alert a user in a loud environment when their internal device functions (vibrate etc) won’t suffice Thanks.

I have a file on my computer that launches a file on the server, I would like to copy this file to be local to FileMaker Go 19. What is best practice for moving this launch file from computer to be stored on the iPhone locally? I already have this file as an email attachment on the iPhone, however I'm unable to find the other local FileMaker files when saving this file from email.

I have some simple calculated labels on a tab control that I'm trying to use in FM Go 19 and they aren't displaying as expected. Simple label of something like "Notes (4)" where the counter is calculated by a basic Count () function of the rows in the portal on that tab. On the fat client it works great. On FM Go 19 it just comes out as "Notes". Everything after the space is gone. Normal label data that is just TEXT works great with a space so that doesn't appear to be the issue. It's when the label contains any kind of number that it wigs out. If I try a static label of "1. Notes" it comes out as just "1." The number and period display but that's it. Any…

I am trying to import a csv file and parse it into an fmp table on fmp go 19. The import and parsing are working well on a pc. On my ipad, I am able to import the csv file, but the parsing is creating a blank record for every record parsed. I suspect it is due to the effort to replace the ipad line feed character with a character return. My customers will be using FM GO with my hosted application. I'd like to find the easiest way for the customer to download FM GO, and open it to the proper URL etc.. I'd like to send them a text message containing a link, to be followed by the simplest process possible. Hello Forum. I was wondering if there is a way to text a PDF on an IOS device. I have no problem creating a PDF and emailing it. I can't seem to figure out how to take that PDF and send a text. I guess what I'm missing is how to put the PDF at the end of this string: "sms:" & $info & "&Body=" & Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Hello. I've read some posts, but am not yet clear on this topic. In short, I want to be able to trigger a 'Beep' or other notification on an iPad (running current version of GO). Preferably, I'd like to be able to trigger notifications while the app is in the background on the iPad, but most importantly, while the app is in the foreground. I can call a phone number from Filemaker Go, but I would like to add "#31# " to the start of the dialled number to hide the phone number from the person I am calling. The Phone script step does not work with the "#31# added in front of the phone number. Any ideas how to go about hiding the phone number?

This one has me stumped. For years I have emailed links to iPads using the format: url:fmp://[serverurl]/[filename]?script=[script]&param=" & [parameter] It works great for hosted files. The iPad user opens their email, taps on the link, and Go opens the hosted file and performs the script. But now I have a local file saved on the iPad that records data while offline and then syncs it to a file hosted on the server. I want a user on the hosted file to be able to send a link back to the person on Go which will launch Go, open the local file, and then perform the script to go to the record in question. We would like to have a shortcut to our database on the iPad, so instead of clicking on Filemaker Go and going to the launch center and it displaying databases., we want the endusers to click on the database shortcut so it goes right to the login screen to make it one step and more intuitive for the users. We have an offline file on the iPad, and there is also the file hosted on the Filemaker. We sync the offline with the online version via MirrorSync. I created a post regarding the 'Done' button that I couldn't seem to suppress on FM Go 19. Then I thought I solved it by creating a new layout. However, when creating a new window, I discovered that if I use a Document window, all the other parameters all the same, the 'Done' button and that entire bar show. But if I am using a new window, Card window, that bar disappears. Is that a bug, expected behavior, or possible corruption? Thanks, Steve

Hello forum. Does anyone know how to hide these buttons? I'm specifically trying to prevent the user from selecting 'Done' which commits the record. I have a clear button over the layout that prevents a user from clicking anywhere outside a field or object to prevent committing the record. Seems like none of these script steps help: Is the only option an OnRecordCommit Trigger to suppress the 'Done' button as well as the other record buttons (Insert and +-) ? I tried Show/Hide Toolbars both ways including Show/Hide Toolbars [Lock: Hide]. Thanks Steve

Does any know how (or if possible) to get a database file off of an IOS device (iPad, iPhone), that are in older versions of FileMaker Go. When you try to open older versions of FM Go says the developer has to update them for them to open. Which we know isn't going to happen. Hi, I have a solution that requires technicians to have access to PDF Service Manuals on their iPads. After much Googling and looking through various FM forums (including here), it appears that only the first page of a PDF hosted (in a container field) can be displayed and the user cannot scroll pages and read the PDF. So would the best approach be to perhaps have the PDF files loaded onto the iPads and then have FM Go refer to them? It would certainly make file access quicker, but in my experience getting files onto the iPads is a pain in the neck, unless there was some way of installing the files onto the iPad's file system through the FM Go. I have just designed a simple Webviwer calendar (using FM19 add-on). I want to use it on my iPad, desktop and iPhone and making sure that the information keyed in are synced. Can anybody advise what is the best and most economical way to do this? Someone suggested AWS but its only 1 app and for my own use.Using AWS seems to be like an overkill. Hi everybody, I try to import pdf or jpg modified (markedup with the apple pen) into a container. But when I import the modified file then in filemaker I always see only the base pdf or jpg and not the annotations. Of course when I open the file on the Ipad I see the annotations. Hi -- a client using a new iPad Pro 2 with iOS 14.4.2 is trying to download a filemaker file from my web-page, but is getting an alert at the bottom of the screen that reads "unsupported file type", and the file doesn't download. Hello I have a script which works fine on the computer but does not quite work on the iPad. The Send Mail creates an email with an attachment and should insert a 'to' and 'cc' field in to the Mail fields. On the iPad 'to' and 'cc' are missing. If I hard code in an email address it works. The attachments are added fine on the iPad. Everything works fine on the computer using FileMaker 19. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have updated the IOS on the iPad and tried version 18 and 19 FMGO. Thanks Chris

Hello I have a script which prints from the iPad but the problem is that it ignores the container fields which have signatures in them. This area is blank the rest of the document prints fine. This script works fine on a computer the signatures print. When I save as a PDF on the iPad the signatures are there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Working on a Go app for a customer, and building in a photo feature. Client would like the ability to select multiple photos in the Camera Roll and import them as one step - something like importing a folder of images in desktop FMPro. From what I've seen so far, it doesn't look possible - Import script step doesn't work for picture/movie files on iOS, and Insert From Device (Photo Library) only allows selecting one photo. Is anyone else aware of a way of making this work?

I am looking for ideas on how to develop a stock trading journal. I would need to track the stock ticker symbol, date & time of entry, date & time of fill, entry price, fill price, quantity filled, transaction type (buy, sell, sell short, cover), and other similar data. I was thinking of importing the data as CSV files into FileMaker. I use TradeStation and am not sure whether it will export in CSV format. As a last resort, the data could be entered manually. Our people out in the field take photos which go directly into the container fields, we would like those photos to automatically transfer to the camera roll/gallery. I know there is an export command and that would allow the techs to export and choose the location, save image etc... But that is a tad too complicated for them. Any suggestions on how to automate this process, the script for export field contents doesn't have a choice to save to camera roll. Thank you! Caroline

I have a webviewer that is loading a PDF from a container field. I'm doing this by using the following calculation in the webviewer: "data:application/pdf;base64," & Base64Encode ( iostest::PDF_Current ) The PDF loads fine however on iOS it does not fill the screen (oddly enough on macos, it DOES fill the screen). Auto resizing on the webviewer is set to expand on all sides. The webviewer is the same size as the layout area as well. We are relatively new to MirrorSync (6.12). We can have a system which is syncing with no issues. We create a new record on the FMS in a table that is synced to the Spoke (iPad). After the iPad syncs and receives the new record, the next time the iPad tries to sync, they receive an error that there is a Duplicate ID... On researching the issue, whenever we create a single record on the Hub, 2 records with the same ID are created on the Spoke with the same ID. This effectively breaks the sync and needs remediation by the user of the iPad by the deletion of one of the records.

When I try to sign out of my Claris ID on my iPad with iOS14.2 with Filemaker Go 19.1.3.306 I get a error: Safari can't open the page because the address is invalid (translate from dutch) I can't logout of the claris ID now, so I though I delete the whole FileMaker Go app from the iPad and then I start all over again with the other claris ID. When I install the FileMaker Go 19 again and open the App, the Claris ID is still logged-in? When Apps are deleted, the whole content should be deleted?

I have files on iMac and iPhone and need to sync them. in the past I have opened two finder windows on my iMac one for the iPhone and the therefor the ima. to sync I just dragged the file from one to the other and it worked. Today for some reason it is not woking. Help please

What would it cost to have someone make me a database using filemaker go on a single ipad for managing a lost and found inventory? What I would like it to do ... 1. log into the database each item being put in and by whom 2. take a picture of each item 3. print a sticker to affix to each item with a barcode so it can be referenced for disposal or pickup by owner 4. have email reminders for auditing on specific items that can perhaps only be stored for X hours before being destroyed (credit cards and such) 5. generate a weekly and monthly report for all activity in the lost and found safe.. I have a problem with FileMaker Go 18.0.3.325 (iPad, iOS 13.x). The app crashes when I adding an autograph to a container field using Insert from Device. Does anyone have a similar experience? I has worked fine, using older versions of FMGo. How does this function work anyway? Is it kind of interactive webviewer that is called using Javascript to capture the autograph and putting it back as a graphic into the container field? Claris' documentation is non-existing on these kind of topics. NB on other occasions, I noticed that an 'interactive container field' is in fact a webviewer that interacts with the container storage, and FileMaker sometimes seems to get confused…

Hi have a PDF that I annotated on my iPad. I upload this pdf to a container field in FM Go. If I go to my desktop FM Pro, I can see the annotations just fine in the container preview however on FM Go, the annotations do not display in the preview. If I export the pdf from the the container, the annotations are indeed there. What can I do to get the annotations to show in the container preview in FM Go (as they do on FM Pro on the desktop).

I'm on iOS. I'm using iOS shortcuts and FM Go. In FM Go, I send a container's PDF to iOS shortcuts via a x-callback-url with an "input" of the Base64Encode PDF. I annotate the PDF in iOS Shortcuts. I then send the annotated PDF back to FM Go to insert it back into the container...however there seems to be some characters in the Base64encode fmp url parameter that can't be passed in the URL coming back. Is there something I can do to further encode this Base64 script parameter (that is the annotated PDF) so that it will pass back to FM Go via the URL.

Hi -- I have a few iPad solutions I created awhile back, where I hid the upper and lower toolbars from view. but as I recall, there was a swing gesture I could use to reveal them -- I thought it was swiping down with 3 fingers . . . but this seems no longer to work? Can someone jog my memory on this? I just need to be able to reveal the "Find" function temporarily.

I defined a calendar in a test solution on my Mac. Looks great. On the iPad Pro, the calendar does appear in the layout, but tapping on an event (that was defined as editable when I created an event on the Mac) does nothing. Am. I missing something?

Can anyone point me to resources or methods for annotating PDFs in FileMaker go on the iPad? Go Draw does not support PDFs. I’d like to draw on a pdf and then save it in a container. I assume I have to do this outside fm go and then bring it back into the container. What technique requires the fewest steps?

I have made a surveying solution for fm go, The question arises of how do you stop people sending this solution to other people. I have come up with using the ( persistent id ) function. I have a shopping list app for personal use. On the MacBook it works fine. I have a global search field which searches through the list of existing items. I have a script trigger (On Object Modify) on the field which allows a 'type ahead' search when each letter is entered. On the phone in FileMaker Go, the keyboard drops off the screen and then reappears when I type each letter. Pretty disconcerting to use. Is there anyway to stop this please?? We have a Filemaker Go on iPads and there is a layout with portal rows, when scrolling through it hesitates and you must wait to scroll down. We have offline files on the iPad, although it happens when we connect to the Filemaker server as well. Any suggestions? Thank you, Caroline

I have two iPads connected to FM server. For some reason one ipad (5th Gen running 13.5) will not complete the navigation scripts and shows error messages (no records match this find criteria), however the 7th Gen running on 13.1.1 works fine..... Issue has only begun after purchasing the second, newer iPad. I cannot for the life of me work out what is wrong, or how to troubleshoot and would love some guidance please!! Hello, I have a script with a single step, attached to a button. Step: Open URL: "prizmogo://x-callback-url/captureText?input=camera&ocr=el&x-success=fmp://$/MYFILE?/script=Dialogue" When I press the button, the Prizmo Go application fires up, I take a photo of the text, it recognizes it but the application stays open. I want to close the application and return the results to FileMaker. What am I doing wrong? Anyone? Thanks.

Hi I want to be able to annotate a pdf that is saved in a container field , and read it back in to FM , I am not able to find a good solution for this, so what I have come up with is to save / export the PDF from FM GO to the documents/FM/ folder on an Ipad. In Split screen view it is easy to annotate and can be copied back into FM. This works with dragging the pdf from one screen to another but I want to automate this with a script. therefore I need to know the file path of the documents path of IOS that FM uses. I have tried several options but cannot find this.

I have a filemaker go application for truck drivers who deliver packages to our customers. They have to Synchronize the touring data every day! The application works perfectly except when the app is closed. Sometimes the data gets committed but sometimes it doesn't! I have tried to use the commit record request (force + skip data entry validation) script step after every delete/set field line but it does seem to make any difference. This is important because they have to "finish" the tour! Trying to display a pdf stored on the iPad AT A SPECIFIC PAGE NUMBER or 'DESTINATION' tag within the pdf document from FMGo. I've tried both a Webviewer and Open URL call but the #page= and #destinationtag appended to the filepath (eg //MyFile.pdf#page=20) is ignored. Any ideas how to open and display a PDF at specific page?

Hi Folks, This maybe a noob issue but I'm having a problem in Filemaker Go creating a PDF and inserting into a container field and then print to a mobile receipt printing. I can create the PDF in TemporaryPath which it does and add it to a container field, but the PDF is more than one page. It needs to be only one page to print to the receipt printer. If I do the same in Filemaker on my PC the PDF saves as one page as it should. Example attached. Is this a limitation in FMGO ? or am I missing something You help would be greatly appreciated. Hello. Working on my first FMGo solution. I've locked the zoom and turned off the menus so that things aren't crazy bouncing around all the time. I have a large detailed graphic in the middle of the layout. I would like the user to be able to zoom and slide that graphic to see more detail and or simply move around the visible portion. Can I use gestures to do this? (Pinch, expand, and finger slide, or whatever that's called.) If so, how would I go about figuring this out (I couldn't find an example anywhere). Our people out in the field take photos which go directly into the container fields, we would like those photos to automatically transfer to the camera roll/gallery. I know there is an export command and that would allow the techs to export and choose the location, save image etc... But that is a tad too complicated for them. Any suggestions on how to automate this process, the script for export field contents doesn't have a choice to save to camera roll. Thank you! Caroline

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to test for an Internet connection on FileMaker Go? I'm building a system that will run mostly with a local Go file, but will occasionally connect to a served file for updating data. Simply trying to connect takes forever to fail when there's no Internet connection. Even using `Insert from URL` as suggested by a web page I found during my Googling takes quite a while. I'm looking for a quick way to find out if there's an Internet connection or not, quick in that it doesn't make the user wait too long for the result. Thanks.

Hello, I am starting to implement a solution within FileMaker Go. At the moment I do have video files which are showing in FileMaker Pro but not in FileMaker Go. When importing the video files I've selected "Store only a reference". The file itself reside on an external drive which has been connected through the Apple AFP protocol. When looking at the properties on the iPad it shows "moviemac:/directory name/filename.mp4". I would have thought the file should have been named "moviemac:/Volumes/directory name/filename.mp4". For many years I have been using FileMaker go on my iPhone and I have developed an item where I keep track of all my spending. I have the master of this on my iMac in FileMaker Pro Advanced 16. From time to time I connect to the iMac and using iTunes update. if any basic changes to the programme I have developed are required I make them on the iMac and then save that to my filmmaker Go. I have created a number of free-standing backgammon quizzing files in Filemaker for use on an iPad. What I want is to allow people to go to my website on their ipads, click on a download button, and have the file imported to their device and open in Filemaker Go. Hi All, First time post for me. I have not been using filemaker pro for very long but I have a new problem. All of my pages are zoomed in on the ipad where the client has to zoom out in order to see the entire content of the page. I have all of my credit card payment items in a file with fields for payment date and Reconciled. I enter the payments when I become aware of them and some are entered with a payment ahead of the actual date of entry. I wish to know what my actual bank balance is at any time which means subtracting items not reconciled. Hi, I have Filemaker 12 server and when using FileMaker GO 13 on an iPhone I am able to connect remotely when on cellular but when I switch to wifi (still entering remotely) it does not "see" the server. (Host is not available) I have tried this on two separate wifi locations with the same problem. I even tried it on the WIFI network that the server is on with no luck. Also replicated the same problem using wifi on an iPad. I don't have cellular o the iPad so I couldn't determine if it would see the server Is it a magical port I am missing that needs to be opened? I use Filemaker Pro 14 to communicate with my cabinet shop. I host my databases on a remote server that costs me $55 per month. The total ecosystem consists of three iMacs, three iPads and an i-Phone. The iPads & iPhone are, of course, hooked to the database with FM GO. Good evening. This is a tricky one and may be a "limitation" (aka feature of IOS), but I am all ears if anybody has any ideas... My solution is for counting products, and it is recommended that user employ a bluetooth scanner (which acts as a keyboard "wedge"). The only way (as far as I can tell) for the scanner to input information to the solution is through a field currently in focus, but the OSK also displays at the same time(wedge), taking up (x) pixels at the bottom of the screen and hiding the lower part of the solution. Turning OSK off (Enable Touch Keyboard [Off]) disables the ability to enter data through a field from the scanner - even if Go To Field …

Good morning. I am getting a status message appear at the bottom of my iPad (that black pop up bar) with my Go solution: "Old location received. New location requested". It's not a problem, doesn't seem to take long to go away, but I've never seen it before - and can't find any reference to it through Google searches. My Internet connection from the iPad is fast - it happens both on 4G and through a wireless connection. I can find no consistency as to the cause. My primary Filemaker 16 database connects to 4 other tables located in their respective Filemaker databases. I wish to prevent these connections from occurring when using the primary Filemaker database in Filemaker Go in iOS but allow the connections when using on a computer desktop, both Mac and Win. The reason I wish to disable these connections in iOS is that I always see prompts to locate the databases and it wastes my time to locate each one and connect it. Any way to accomplish this?
