Server is hung. But continues to work. Clients connect to the normal mode. Felt delays. But on the server nothing can be done, any act, stop, create a script, gives an error error enсountered. Not displaying data on the number of connections, information on the status of the server graphics. It happens periodic enough, sometimes the server is running a month, sometimes a week, sometimes a day normally. I can not understand what causes the failure. Restarting the server through windows server solves the problem, but until the next failure. What it can be? Widnows Server 2008 ; FileMaker Server 12

I've been logging in with FileMaker Server 11 Admin Console on a remote server for 3 years using http://[server name&location]:16000/ About a month ago I got this error message when trying to access the Admin Console. "Application Blocked by Security Settings Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet valid certificate from running." I tried accessing the Admin Console from 3 different computers, but couldn't get to the login page. Our tech folks here are very good, but don't know much about FileMaker and haven't been able to figure out the problem. They tried disabling the firewall, checking the certificate, …

I maintain many FM13 Servers and this Administrator Groups feature is quite helpful to our users. Â I am having a problem I can't seem to figure out. Â We just spun up 3 new FM13 servers and I can't quite get the Administrator Group page buttons to work right. Â On the older servers, when I create a Admin Group and users click on the FileMaker Pro or WebDirect buttons FileMaker launches correctly, locates the database and pops it open, same with WebDirect. Â On the new servers we just spun up, FileMaker launches but it can't find the database. Â Same with WebDirect - the browser launches but it can't find the database. Â I ran a test where I created an identical gro…

I am running filemaker server advanced ver 12.0.1.178 on a server running server 2012 standard. This morning the main database crashed and it recovered. But, I have two databases that have container fields. The data is stored as a file and not as a reference. when looking at the container field from the filemaker client the container field does not display the pdf instead it displays a http status 404/Streaming/MainDB/Fm....pdf instead. I can export the container field and the document is exported correctly. I just do not understand why the container field is not displaying an image of the pdf file. It has been running fine for around 18 months. I can view the server…

Just as a disclaimer I'm a rookie working with Filemaker which I'm sure will be made clear in the post. I'm having problems with the container field quality after saving as a PDF. I have run into the problem with other programs as well so I realize it is not Filemaker's doing but I am trying to find a workaround for it. The issue is that I've been using 'Save As PDF' in a script and it worked out great until I noticed the poor quality. With "Save as" I was able to define a file path and name relative to the computer in use but I am not seeing a way to do this with the Print as PDF command in a script. I realize I can universially change the output path and file name when …

Hallo I recently changed to FileMaker Server 13 on my mac mini, which was already running Mac OSX Server. I had to change the FileMaker ports in order for both services to work at the same time (I don't know if this has anything to do with my php problem...). The problem is that my php files can't find the FileMaker.php file. When I try to use require_once('FileMaker.php'); the php crashes. I store my files in exactly the same location as I used to do with FM Server 12. The files however are on a website on the Mac OSX Server... Kind regards, Rugen Heidbuchel

Hi Everybody, I've devised a Filemaker solution for a client, and am considering referring the client to a third party hosting service, rather than setting up a Filemaker server for the client in the client’s offices. I understand that there are any number of entities which provide such Filemaker Server hosting services. My chief interests are as follows: 1. I'd prefer an entity that is physically based in or around the LA area, where myself and my client are situated. 2. I'd prefer an entity whose services are reputable and time-tested across a portfolio of respectable clients. 3. The Filemaker database I developed features external file storage …

Hi. I have an issue with the SMTP settings on an FMS 13 server on a client site and was wondering if anybody might have had the same problem, and what their solution was. The FMS 13 server is a 2008 R2 SP1 VM on a Windows 2012 server, at the FMS aspect seems to work just fine overall. I have configured on FMS console to have the Errors and Warnings to come to the email address designated, and this works fine. The settings are that the SMTP server it goes through is an Exchange 2010 box, no authentication required. When I press the Test SMTP settings button, the test fails, yet I continue to get the normal errors and messages come through just fine. There is obvio…

Hi, We are using FMP version 9 and want to do the following Post a simple web form from FMP 9 for our users to enter data. Allow the user to log in through our current employee portal, click a link and access the FMP form. Restrict the user's access to records in the FMP database to only their location. FMP must use the portal login credentials to authenticate them against Active Directory (the SSO part). Sounds simple enough but I haven't used FMP for several years (got into the management end of things). Publishing the form for web consumption is no problem. It's the SSO part that I certainly need help with. It would also be OK for the user to come in as a…

I am trying to do an "Insert Picture" script step on a Server and not getting any results. The script works fine (but too slow for the volume of images) on a client. This seems like a perfect case for "Perform Script on Server" but it is not working. The server is 13.0.3.300 on Windows 7. User Account Control is off. The JPGs are on a file server. The server has access to the files. The drive is mapped exactly the same as a client. The script provides the correct context (layout and find) for the import, but the server is not finding the images. Is there something else I need to do on the server to make this work? Thanks, Paul Samuelson

On Server 13.0.1 on a Mac, is it possible to run scheduled backups that only backup the databases and not the RC_Data_FMS folder? In our case, RC_Data_FMS is a huge folder (6+ GB). Everything in it would be easy to reproduce if necessary so we don't need to back it up as often as the databases themselves. It just contains thumbnails for images that are stored elsewhere.

Issue: Update from FMS v13.0.1.224 to 13.0.2.295 breaks external authentication of openldap users in local groups on OSX Server 10.8.5 I should note upfront that my FMS is currently working again only because I've reverted to the previous version - 13.0.1. I was unable to resolve the problem with 13.0.2. I'm tossing this out to the community to see if anyone else has seen this issue and if they've found a fix. My Environment: OSX Server 10.8.5 running on a mini. Current Installed Version FMS: 13.0.1.224 OSX is bound to an openldap server on our network. Hi All, I'm a small business computer support guy and have been called into an SBS 2011 essentials server that's cactus. They've tried to upgrade from Filemaker 11 server, which has been running fine for several years I'm told, to Filemaker 12 server. After the change the server services failed, IIS no longer works, remote desktop gateway is gone and the active directory database is corrupted. I restored the machine's C: drive to a date before the change and that restored functionality and filemaker 11 server. I've found if you uninstall filemaker 11 it also uninstalls several services in IIS and remote desktop gateway at least and I'm guessing this corrupts the regis…

We have a Filemaker solution that uses 3 related databases (FMP12 advanced) . We are considering a FMS13 server (I guess this hosts FMP12 too). The databases are on our Google drive (we never use them simutaneously). I don't want to loose the existing relationships between the different databases when moving to the server. I'm running Filemaker Server behind a NAT firewall in my data centre, and it mostly works fine. The server is bound to a 192.168.1.xxx IP address, and the firewall which it's behind, uses NAT to forward the external public IP address to the internal IP address which the server is on. All this works fine, except that on the Group Start Page, the "WEBD" buttons link to the internal 192.168.1.xxx IP numbers, which obviously don't work. Just wondering if there's any way around this, without reconfiguring the firewall to not use NAT.

I've been having a problem with FMS 12 backup schedules for the last few days, and it's giving an error code - 20411 - that I haven't been able to find documentation on. I currently have Hourly, Daily, and Weekly schedules running; Hourly to an internal drive, Daily and Weekly to an external USB drive. The problem is occurring with all three backup schedules, so I'm inclined to think it's not a problem with either a specific schedule, or with the backup destination. The database is hosted on a RAID 1 mirrored drive, and one of the drives recently failed; however, that doesn't seem to have affected the operation of the main database. Essentially, the backup starts,…

Hello, I am working on a growing database that currently has 4000+ records, each record having up to 4 images. The file is currently not on FM Server, but I wish to propose to my company that we get FM Server and upload this database on to it. In my readings I have not come across any potential problems with uploading these large container field data. I wish to store the images externally, with open storage. Does anyone foresee any problems with this move to FM Server? Thank you for any guidance or suggestions.

I have a situation that I could really use some help with… I am fairly new to developing FM solutions and virtually have no experience with FM Server. In fact just the word “server” kind of makes me break out in a cold sweat. I also am fighting an uphill battle with getting FileMaker to be accepted by the company that I work for. I have developed a couple of solutions that have worked out very well. I am using FileMaker Pro Advanced ver 13 to host the file on the network using the peer-to-peer capability of FM. Now I also have a couple of FM Server Licenses and am considering whether or not to host the files using server, instead of going peer-to-peer. For now I…

FMS13 Companion Released ! So, we have released a handful of free tools to help you work better with FileMaker Server 13 on MAC. Now we have combined all those tools AND included some new features as well. So we love our platform and there is a lot of new good stuff. With the changes in FileMaker Server, the webserver part is now a part of the FileMaker server. The new Server Admin Console is great, but we think that some stuff is missing in this release. That is why we created some tools and guides, which we released for free to the community. Now, we have combined thoose tools into one simple tool and even added some more. Even better, it is a native FileMak…

I have an issue at one of our customers, where clients are not seeing updates in records from each other. Updates from committed records are not pushed to the client, and/or local cache is not refreshed. Even a script with Commit Record, Refresh Window [Flush cached join results] and a Flush Cach to Disk script steps does not update the data, This is particulary annoying as the application has a realtime planning module. The issue appears at some intervals, and only restarting the client often resolves the issue for a while, but then again there is a risk that the issue reappears. Restarting the server resolves the issue for a few weeks, but then again it start to a…

We are using FMSA 12.05 on OS X 10.8.5. We have configured the server to require secured connections (i.e. use SSL) for the FMP client. However, we don't appear to always be getting secured connections when clients log in. We have an 'open' script that runs when clients log in, finding various information about that user. I included a step to set a global variable to the connection state when a user logs in, and that is displayed on a layout. 90% of the time when I log in (local account, full access) it shows that I am connected via a secured connection (state=2). But, the other 10% of the time, it tells me that I am on an unsecured connection (state=1). This…

This is using FMSA 12.05; client used to connect from is 'Qlikview'. * User privilege set has 'Disconnect user when idle' marked ON: would this affect ODBC connections? Are ODBC connections persistent or not? * User extended privilege set 'Access via ODBC' is marked ON * User extended privilege '…

Hi everyone, I have a fm13 solution I want to deploy in our department. I was looking into fms13 but the pricing seems steep at $180/ connection. Management will obviously be concerned about cost when roughly 30-40 users will be accessing the Database. FMS12 seems to be more cost effective with IWB but I don't know how much better Web direct would be compared to IWB. Some users will only need access to one layout with a few fields and not the remainder of the DB, so getting a client license for such users would just seem a waste. So my question is , since I made the solution on fmpa13 , would running it on fms12 really restrict the fmp13 features? Even if all the …

My office has about 20-30 people using FM at any given time, and we're planning to move from Server 11 to 13 in the near future. I have $2K allocated for new hardware. I'm going on the assumption that a Windows server will give a bigger bang for the buck, but I'm certainly amenable to Apple hardware (everything's currently on a Mac Mini server). I've read over the hardware considerations and I basically understand them, but I don't live in the Windows hardware world much, and my head is turning to sawdust trying to put together the best package for my budget. If anyone can offer any recommendations, I'd be grateful. If $2K is simply insufficient in your opinion, t…

I'm far away from my home office now. For some time I've used No-IP to address my server when I'm away. I have FMS set to start automatically on restart. Two days ago I believe my place had a power failure or brown-out. Since then I haven't been able to connect. Today I had a friend go over to my place and, sure enough, the server machine was off. She restarted it and rebooted the Airport Extreme as well. No dice. My question: will FMS restart on its own in the circumstances described above? Or is this quite different than a proper Restart? Thanks.

Hello, was wondering if someone could share some insight onto how server scripts handle global variables. I have an email script set on a schedule that, as part of it, moves between layouts. One of the layouts it goes through has a script trigger for OnLayoutEnter that changes the custom menu set based upon username. The 'Install Menu Set' aspect of that script trigger breaks the email schedule and forces an abort. I've tried to work around that by using: If $$Script = 1 Exit Script End Ifin my script trigger. Then declaring Set Variable [$$Script; Value: 1] <email stuff with layout changes> Set Variable [$$Script; Value: ""] in my email script. But, t…

I have a sales order processing database where each sales order line has a number of records related to it. The related records have several date fields and from the context of the sales order line, I need to be able to establish the latest date in each of these date fields and store it in the sales order line for use later. I chose to write a custom function to which would determine the latest date in a list of dates, so I could evaluate each set of related dates in turn. To work out the latest date in the list, I decided to turn the list of dates into numbers using the getAsNumber() function, finding the largest number in the list and converting it back to a date …

Hi all, i've been developing and maintaining a FM11 solution for my organization for the past few years, and it's time to move to FM13 to take advantage of some of the new features for our increasingly mobile workforce. currently the server is in the main office and we use an SSL VPN to get on the local network and log in. obviously this makes it vulnerable to outages from our internet service providers, and generally sucks time and money away from more important things. i'm exploring moving to a colocation on a new server at a data center or high-performance virtualization. i've been browsing the forums and haven't found much in terms of experiences and best …

HI, I just updated to FMS 13.0v2 and the admin console is having problems. No files or clients are listed on the Activity page. Schedules are not visible either. Files are being served properly. However it's not possible to edit a schedule. Oddly, the Close All command and Open All seem to work and the results can be seen in the Log. I've restarted the server machine. No change. Is anyone else having these problems? Rick

I'm looking for the best way to test that files are open and "normal" on a number of FM Server 13 Windows deployments that a client has scattered all over the place. Note that this is testing for a positive result, not looking for a negative result (like, that a file isn't open because of problem). There are a couple of ways that come to mind: Write an OS-level script to get the filenames and status from fmsadmin at the command line, send them to a text file and deal with that appropriately. Another way to do it is have an FM script do something like check that each file is open on the host and record the results. Either way seems like more work than it should be. Is…

Filemaker Server 13v2 been running fine for about a week. Just changed the digital certificate from the default one to one I ordered from a CA. Seemed to go in OK using the fmsadmin command, but it seemed to need a server reboot to be accepted and served to browsers (which it now is). However, since then, I am locked out of the "General Settings" page in the Admin Console (other parts of Admin Console are accessible normally). Message is : The module is unavailable because it is locked by another session I think this might be a false lock, and to do with the way it was shut down, but I had a good look around and couldn't find anything except this: /Libr…

I am connecting to FM Server 13 via ODBC with WinBatch. I realize there are probably not many here with WinBatch experience, but hopefully someone can help me. I have tried getting help on the Winbatch forum, but they think the problem is something peculiar to FM Server ODBC. I think the problem is connection-related, not Winbatch. My guess is something to do with cursor location or type or record locking, although I think I have tried every combination. I am able to connect and read data with the following WinBatch code: DBServer="192.168.1.129" Database="dbname" User="ODBC" Pass="password" cConn=ObjectCreate("ADODB.Connection") RS1 = ObjectCreate('ADODB.Reco…

So, we have released a Virtual Host guide and tool for FileMaker Server 13 and we have released a FileMaker Server Admin tool to help you work better with FileMaker Server 13. And now, yet another tool is released ! So we love our platform and there is a lot of new good stuff. With the changes in FileMaker Server, the webserver part is now a part of the FileMaker server. So you are developing your solutions and this could include CWP solutions, but need to debug errors and access. So, the FileMaker Server admin has a great log tool for viewing events that happens for server access, database server and web publishing component. But the webserver is also writing logs a…

Hi All, Here it is my (wannabe) solution: A) One FM server 11A (Win Machine, unspecified so far), on the local Intranet, few clients (6) online One FM Server 11B (Windows Server 2008 Machine), on remote server C) One MySQL server on the remote server D) 2 distinct Databases (filemaker 11 and PHPMySQL) with exactly the same structure (i.e fields and tables) BUT differejnt data: Users working on FM database and MySQL database will be different, there will be no overlapping or editing of the same record between the 2 interfaces FM Server 11B and MySQL server are on the same remote machine. What I would like to do: The User (Jimmy as an example) insert a new reco…

Just been checking out the new (in 13) Upload To Server feature. Â It seems to have a number of warnings and prohibitions which make sense in the context of a non-specialist FileMaker Pro user, who needs to be protected against doing things which don't make sense. Â It seems to keep track of which of your locally stored files have already been uploaded to the server, and warns you about opening these locally (see attached), because it assumes that the master copy of the file is now the one on the server. Â So far, so good. Â However, I can envisage a situation where the client wishes to take his or her database off the server (or at least make the server copy inacti…

Hi, I excluded the FileMaker Server folder from the Time Machine backups but I want the databases to be backed up in the TM hard external hd. So I created an applescript that copies the files to a folder outside the FM Server folder but when I run the schedule to execute the applescript file with FM server I get the error message "aborted by user". What other options I have to copy a file from the FM Server backups folder to a folder accessible to Time Machine? Thanks in advance!

The new MacPro is finally out, with over 400 or so configs. Any recommendations on how FMS interacts with the possible HW configs? Specifically, the tradeoff between MHz processor speed and number of cores available? How well does FMS use multiple core & threads? The usual issues, eg RAM & HD, are not in question, since I will have enough RAM and a large SSD in any case.

I have a scheduled script that simply imports a .csv file into a database hosted on FMServer12. The file is located in the 'Documents' folder and the script uses 'Get ( DocumentsPath )' to retreive the file. There are no problems with FMS finding the file. However, there are two fields in the .csv, and FMS will ONLY import the 2nd field, and ONLY IF the 1st field contains data. I can do a manual import of the exact same file with no problems at all. But when FMS performs the import it completely skips the first field. And, if the 1st field is empty (in the imported file), it will get no data for the 2nd field. There are no auto-fills or script triggers on any fields i…

Does anyone know how to point a PHP custom web publishing page from a standalone web server to the FMS13 database server? We are moving from FMSA11 to FMS13. In the past the Web Publishing Engine was on our standalone web server and the database machine was separate. In order to take advantage of the new features of 13 we put FMS13 as a single machine. Our testing database has FMS13 on a single machine installation. Our testing business web site is on a stand alone web server on the same subnet at the FMS13 machine. I need to know if anyone has experience with this type of setup. It seems to me that the standalone web site should be able to call the database server for …

May I ask if there is such an application/plug in. I would be happy if something could test just the network side with pings and stats, so that could be a network utility on the mac side. I have a few but any suggestions are welcome. Also, on the fms13 side, is there such a thing that would stimulate loads and usage scenarios and stress test it? I highly doubt it, but I have to ask.

I've written an .NET client using ODBC to connect to a fp5 on a remote FM 5.5 server. After opening FM 6 on the same PC as the .NET client and opening the fp5 remotely, the first action by the .NET client application (whether it be an INSERT or UPDATE) seems to take a very long time (3-4 minutes) before returning an ODBC exception - HY000-Unknown error. The .NET client catches the exception and displays a message box to the user. The user clicks OK and if there are more records in the batch to process it continues with no further errorrs. The outcome for the first record attempted is not certain...sometimes the record is inserted/updated successfully (after a long…

I have an fp5 database on a Windows 7 server running FM Server 5.5. I've written a .NET client to access the fp5 remotely from another PC via ODBC. The PC has FM 6 and I do an Open Remote on the fp5 before running the .NET application...all of the Sharing preferences are configured correctly. This has been working perfectly for several months. Today, when attempting to perform an INSERT, I get "Field restriction error" returned by the ODBC driver and a partial record is inserted (auto populated fields contain their expected data but the data I need to insert is not there). The connection is working and the SQL is being submitted successfully (I can purposef…

With the expected message I 've got before when OS X server claimed FM's ports (and OS X server had websites off) : Websites are turned off. An administrator can turn them on using the Server application. This ties is with the thread on OS X Server and Filemaker but my issue is that I didn't even turn on OS X Server... I have it off with not possibility for upgrades and not using it, until an official fix comes out. And my query is: What is the quickest way/hack to reclaim said ports? I am not interested in the full technical brief hack someone's posted here for virtual websites, I just want to know if this happens again how can i fix it quickly, when restart…

What I did was I took the database down off the server, then edited it directly from the data folder that I 'd copied as is on the desktop, then I copied it back to the server folder replacing the "data" self same folder there. And now I am missing one of my more important container fields, with a series of documents once existing in a secure storage in the db that despite my pointing fm to it it won't import them. So, somehow it seems I broke this link .... What can I do to re-link these?

Our department (code services / building inspection, small city - 50k) will be upgrading to FM13 in the near future. We are currently on 11, and I have been the unofficial developer of our data solutions for a number of years now. I have quite a bit of experience on the user side of the system - working with the data, creating new relationships, reports, scripts, etc. Have VERY LITTLE experience on the server side of the equation. We have until recently maintained our own server at our site. Recently, our server has been moved to the city's IT department, with the intention of moving away from a dedicated server for our department, and moving onto the city's main s…

Filemaker website says this combination works, but how is it in real life? Am I missing anything significant by not going to Server 13? I'm currently running FMS 10 on Mac OS 10.6.x. If I go to Server 13, I'd have to update my OS as well as Parallels and I'd rather avoid that. Also, how do the concurrent user licenses work with FMS 12? Or is that specific only to version 13?

Hope my experience can help some searching soul out there. I got there in the end. Recently, we upgraded our FMS 12 setup to 13. In the process we had to switch off Server.app's Websites function which we used to serve our php web pages through https with certificates from an external authority (Comodo). I moved our existing php files to the httpsRoot subfolder, which is where they should go. As expected, the URL in the browser was still confirmed as starting with 'https'. But the https connection now came up as untrusted by our own (and our customers'!!) browsers and our expensive green padlock had gone. The FMS 13 Getting Started Guide just says to refer to 'you…

Hello all! This is an annoying issue. I am trying to setup a container data path in FMS 13 on OS X 10.9. The directory is on a FW drive. No matter what I try, the server saves the files in FMS /Library subfolders. Here are the steps that I have taken: 1. Set the container data path in FMS to filemaker:/FMMedia/Media/ and successfully saved the changes. 2. Made sure the drive (FMMedia) and the folder (Media) have full read/write permissions for the fm server user, and even made it the owner. To test, I even tried setting the permission to read/write for all users. 3. Set up the manage containers with the correct path. 4. If I test the file…

Hi folks, I manage FM for a university department, and we recently upgraded to server 11. After the upgrade, I have noticed that closed files on our server are no longer included in the daily backup (as they were with server 8.5). I keep the closed files in the default folder, so I know that isn't the problem. I also went through the admin console and I didn't see any option to "include closed files" or anything like that. I like the keep closed files on our server (they are for previous semesters) because people need them every once in a while. And I need them in the backup, because, periodically, they will be opened, changed, and closed, and I want to make s…

Hi I received the task for a Filemaker 11 migration without having worked with this system before. The databases are running on a Filemaker Server Advanced 11 whith external authentication to our OD, which is running on a Mac OS X Server (SnowLeopard). I have full admin rights on the Mac OS X Server as well as on the OD, but I don't have the local filemaker account data (because the responsible person has left). I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question and if it is please let me know: I currently have 2 filemaker solutions hosted by FMS13 on a dedicated server my hospital division purchased. Currently it only runs the filmmaker server program. My division also wants to run an oracle database off the same server but I am wondering if it is a good idea to do that. Problem is purchasing another dedicated machine for the oracle database is very costly. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or tips about running two different programs on a dedicated server simultaneously. Sorry I am new to this whole server networking stuff. Thanks

Hello all, I want to have fm server be able to store files via a container on a network share point so that computers that are outside our network be able to view them. At the same time not be able to view other files that are private. I got all this working on a version of fm12, then ported it over to fm server 12 to only find out about the limitation of storing container data in the same folder as the fm files. I did some research and found other people where having this issue, but all the posts where old. Does anyone know. a. Is there a work around for fm server 12? b. Is this now supported on fm 13 server? Thanks Drew

Hi Am running FMS12 - I found the post regarding server import export and have followed these instructions. http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/64713-server-side-imports-and-exports/ However the script that I set up to import a file is failing, I believe this is because it is not finding the file to import, although I get no error only a time out, and given the test is for but 100 records am certain that it is not because of inadequate time to run it. I have tried: Setting up a variable to Get (DocumentsPath) & "[filename].xls" Have added "file:" and "filewin:" types to precede that so "file:" & Get ( DocumentsPath ) & "Kinds.xls" and "filewin:" & Ge…

I have some files with a FM hosting service and those files have externally stored container data. The host had a problem yesterday, and once the problem was 'fixed', all links to the externally stored files were broken, i.e. VerifyContainer() returns false, I can see the image/icon in the field but export field contents is greyed out. I have a backup with all of the RC_Data, but of course I don't want to manually re-insert a couple of thousand files into container fields, and neither does my client. Any suggestions? I find this odd because my own FMS installation upgraded from FMS12 to FMS13 and didn't lose the connections to the externally stored data.

I am currently unable to open the admin console. I've tried from a computer on the network and I have tried on the server itself via remote desktop. It times out every time. The IP address is correct. I did ipaddress:16000 for the network computer and 16001 on the server, both of which time out. We are also unable to send email via smtp. I've been working with the IT guy and we can't figure out what's blocking it. I don't know if that's related. I know FMS is running since we can connect to the file and can see other open files. Those other files *shouldn't* be open and I want to close them, and I need to change some other settings as well, but I can't get it! …
