Greetings FM'ers: First time poster here. I am an electronics engineer and not a DB programmer; however I have written several FM flat databases successfully in which I use successfully on a day to day basis. I love it. They do just what I need. My problem.. I have been using Quickbooks Premier for several years, and now they want to have me pay rent once a year at a very high cost. I am a small company.. plus it's the principle of the thing. They pretty much have monopolized that software industry. I REBEL!! So after looking at several other packages which are not quite the same, I ran into a package popular in Europe called Dolibarr which is an SQL based free pack…

We are currently running Filemaker 130v1 on Windows Server Standard 2012. Can it run on Server 2012 r2 even though it doesn't appear so according to the website? If it will, are there specific steps I have to take during install? Thank you.

Am about to move to a two-machine deployment of FMS 13.0.10, having acquired a second X-Serve. However, although both have the same CPU, one has 12GB RAM and one 24GB. Also, the bigger one has 3x 15000rpm SAS drives, whereas the smaller one has the more usual 3x 1TB SATA drives, (RAID5 in both cases) My plan was to utilise the new smaller one as the WebDirect Server (as not all my hosted solutions use WebDirect). But am wondering if this is the best way around.

Running FMS 13 and trying to run a simple PHP page from my website to access a database, but I'm only getting a blank page. Not sure if it's a port forwarding issue or a PHP issue, or something else. If I put my .php file and the includes ("FileMaker.php" file and "FileMaker" folder from the FMS PHP .zip file) in the fmi-test folder on my FM server and access it locally (http://localhost/fmi-test/myphpfile.php), the PHP file works fine and returns data, so I don't think it has any inherent issues, and presumably my FMS is set up correctly. Putting the same .php file and includes on my web server, though, results in a blank page only. The includes are in the same direc…

I have an FM server running on Mac v13.0.5 that we are doing quite a bit of Server side scripting on. These are either scheduled scripts that run every few minutes throughout the day or "perform on server" scripts that are triggered by users. Every week or so the script engine appears to hang and users will see FileMaker hang when they run a script that includes a Perform on Server step. The scheduled scripts will also not complete. The script engine process is still running but it apparently quits responding. I'm able to get things rolling again by running the fmsadmin stop / start fmse command from the Terminal. The fmserver log files don't show any issu…

I got assigned the task of the upgrade from 13 to 15 on a client's Mac Mini. We inherited this client and I have not done any of the administration of the server to this point. I have 0 knowledge of either FMP or Macs so this will be quite the learning experience. First task is to upgrade the OS from 10.8.5 to something more recent that meets FMP 15 requirements. Any recommendations on what OS to upgrade to? The Mac Mini is a late 2012 model, 16 GB RAM, 2.3 GHz i7, 250 GB HDD with 14 GB free. FMP is backed up to an external 4 TB hard drive with 200 GB free. Is the 14 GB free space enough or do I need to move some files to the external drive? The 4 TB drive has 200…

I have a look up table of products with parameters such as style, size, colour etc and of course price. In another table I have the items ordered which allows you to choose a style, size, and colour and looks up the price form the products table. I achieve this calculation using a field which contains a concatenated string like this 'style-size-colour' in both tables and a relationship based on this field. I use this relationship to return the price. It works the first time, but when I change one of the parameters the price is not immediately updated. How do I force a refresh?

I want to start at 1 for the next quarter, but it is currently 13 days before the end of this quarter. Logically I could start auto-enter serial at -13 and incrememtn by 1. So the first record would be -13, then -12 etc. Doesn't seem to like it. First record is -13, second is -14. Is this a bug, a feature, or known behaviour?

I have a portal that shows records from another table. They are 'available' or not currently assigned records. The problem is that the list is too long. I would like to be able to filter the list by entering characters in a Filter field. The relationship currently looks like this: Available = yes I would like something like: Available = yes and Filter (is a substring of) Productname I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that.

Hi there I'm trying to get SyncDeK to connect to FMS 13 on a clients' server. I have it working successfully on my own development server, but for some reason, ODBC/JDBC won't start on the clients' machine. FMS 13.0.5.520 on OSX 10.8.5 Apart from ODBC / JDBC access, FMS has installed and deployed correctly. Although ODBC/JDBC is ’switched on’ in the Admin Console, there is no ’tick’ on the left hand side. Additionally, the fm_xdbclistener process is not listed in the Mac 'Activity Monitor'. I have attempted to start the xdbc process from the command line by using "fmsadmin start xdbc" but receive an error message ("Error: 10017 (Requested object is di…

I have a table called Employees. These are either Current, Freelance, or No Longer Employed. I want a list available to select current employees. I have a filed called Currentcalc which is a 1 if the employee status is current. All I want to do is to go to an unrelated table and be able to select current employees from a lost. I simply cannot get my head around how to filter lists. I have tried every possible combination of settings and cannot understand the logic of filtered lists. This should be so simple but I have now wasted an entire day to it. I cannot find a simple explanation on how this works, anywhere. Can anyone explain to me how drop down lists, base…

I have a FileMaker layout with a portal to another table. The relationship shows all unassigned records (related < 1). On each portal row I have a button which runs a script. The idea is that when you press the button the a value from the main record is copied and pasted into a field in the portal row (and as a result the portal record becomes 'assigned' and is removed from the portal. I have the button running a script and pasting the value from the main record but it is pasting it in the first portal record, not the one whose button was clicked. Is there a simple way of having the value pasted into the portal record where the button was clicked or do I have t…

For nearly 8 months, the company I work for has been experiencing very frustrating issues with xDBC Listener on FileMaker Server 12. We migrated to FileMaker Server 13 last week and we're seeing the same issues.  Both FMS12 and FMS13 have been installed on (separate) virtual machines, both running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard (Dual-core, 16GB RAM, hosted DBs and backups live on secondary drives). ODBC connections hitting database files hosted on these servers are aborted anywhere from once to four times a day, but not always every day (it may go several days between abortions). The error reported on the server when the ODBC disconnections occur is "xDBC Listener …

I have been having some network issues using FileMaker Pro 13 advanced on OS X. I had a similar issue with Yosemite, but it seems to be worse with El Capitan. I am using a shared folder on another OS X computer in order to transfer information between the two computers. The file in question is a FileMaker Pro 13 database, which I write to and delete. At times, the network seems to fail, and FileMaker Pro 13 advanced seems to crash. I have run all the tests on the database, and everything seems just fine. Otherwise the database runs very smoothly. If I do not use the database in the shared folder, everything works just fine. Any ideas what could be wrong? An…

I have a database on a Filemaker 13 server. Initially I was having trouble uploading to a container, as it started taking a VERY long time for small documents. This was due to port 443 not being open. It is open for me now; however, I still get intermittent periods of slowness as if it isn't open. What seems to happen is when I go to the server, to check if things are still open - nothing seems to have changed, but when I go back - the file uploads much faster. The power saving settings on the server are disabled, but I think this slowness has something to do with when it goes to sleep. I'm not even sure what to look at or search for, it's so bizarr…

Since FM Server cannot make PDFs how is this for a scripted workaround: FM client makes the PDF in the TEMP user's folder on local PC. The PDF is inserted into a container field on the current record. Mother script calls PSOS subscript which finds proper record and exports container PDF to folder on server. Send Mail grabs the PDF from the folder and sends the email from the server. PDF is deleted from folder. PDF file is deleted from the container field (No need to keep it) Result (Success or Failure) is passed back to the mother script. Sound feasible?

I have a setup with fms13 running on a network that is using an Airport Extreme as router, wifi and firewall. It has worked perfectly for years. However it started playing up recently so I tried to setup a new configuration for the Airport Extreme where I opened all the ports that I thought needed to be open for FMS13 to work : 80, 443, 5003, 389. What is weird is that if I install the new setup in the Airport Extreme web direct does not work. I know that it actually functioning in FMS as I can test it locally. If I install the old setup in the Airport Extreme web direct does work, however after a few minutes the Airport Extreme becomes inaccessible, and I fear unreli…

Hi all, After tearing my hair out, what's little there was of it, for the last few days I have now been able to successfully manage to install FM Server 13 on Server 2012 Essentials. The main problem I had was that the program wouldn't install as ports 80 and ports 443 were being used. Here are the steps I used in order to successfully install the program. 1) If it's used then re-bind your Default Website in IIS to a different port than port 80 (port 81 for example) and port 443 to an alternative port - you can do this from Server Manager > IIS > Right Click on the Server List and select IIS > Open the Tree on SVR > Sites > Default Website. …

Hi all My server is running on FMS 13.0v9 and my clients are running FMP 12.0v4. The mismatch is due to my clients still mostly being on OS X 10.6.8. I'm having a strange issue with slowness that I was hoping to get some insight on. Here goes: I have a layout (named "Checkin Layout") that access a table and a few related tables. The main table has a field named "CheckedIn" which contains either a 1 or a 0. The user checks a checkbox, which enters the value "1". The auto-enter calculation is as follows: Case (CheckedIn = 1 ; 1 ; 0) This makes it so that the value isn't ever empty, but will be either 0 or 1. Users have lately been complaining that toggl…

I have FMS 13.0.5.520 installed on a Mac Mini running OS X 10.10.2. In the database files, the privilege sets are configured to not disconnect when idle, and the server is configured not to disconnect unless idle for more than 720 minutes (12 hours).  Any ideas on what might be going on and how to fix it? A customer experiences problems while shutting down a database: after he closes the database using the console, some users are still able to connect. Existing users get the message asking them to close the file(s) they are working on, but some users keep on reconnecting, with success. The files show the status 'closing' in the console. Could this be a communication problem between the console and the server? Or are there other possible causes? It's regular FMPA clients (13 and 14), no WebDirect. Some (but not all) are Robot PC's, performing a timed 'watchdog' process. FMS13 on WindowsServer 2008R2. HEH

Hello Board! FMS 13. Hardware crashed. File closed incorrectly, listed as 'closed' on server console. I've opened the file locally with a version of Pro, done the checks and now have a file that works and can be opened locally. I log into FMS, using the console login and password, get access. Then i try uploading the file via FMP - it checks the file then asks me for the admin login and password for the Console. That fails as 'incorrect login/password.' But it's not incorrect. I've logged in to FMS Console with that password, changed it, tried it, been refused as incorrect, then logged back in/out of console with the new password to put…

I couldn't find a more appropriate place for this topic so if this isn't the right place please point me there. I have a database that tracks the products we sell: SKU, PLU, ID, and a pile of other info. There are a number of tables as well to view product information, the PLU list (list of items with PLUs in sorted order), and several others. One of the things the PLU list table does is allow me to print the products with PLUs. In that list I see that the same item (same SKU) has 2 different PLUs. I search the other tables for both those PLUs and only get the one that's actually there. Sounds confusing but let me try an example: Inventory Table: SKU 3…

We have been having an occasional issue where records just disappear. It's been going on for almost a year now and we simply can't see what might be causing it. It is not common and seems to happen at random. Once every 2 weeks or so. Our database has 33 tables. The disappearing records all come from the same table. It is hosted on a cloud based server with 17 clients in 2 cities (same time zone) accessing it. Steps we have taken so far are: • Disabled "delete record" from the Menu Set • Implemented a dedicated "delete record" script that notifies the administrator when it is run so that the administrator can confirm with the user that the deletion was intentional. • C…

Hi. Having created two Filemaker Pro 13 databases, and used them for sometime on one computer, we have now built a new office with... Three new PC Workstations An in-house server [not a NAS] All linked via ethernet ...are wondering if we can put the two databases on the new 'in-house-server' and access them from each workstation via the ethernet network? Having contacted Filemaker, they told me in no uncertain terms that if I placed the database on a NAS [Network Attached Storage] it would corrupt the file, but then I wasn't aware that we were having a inhouse-server fitted so didn't asked regarding that option at the time. I just completed a new solution which I loaded onto our test server for further testing in a multiuser shared environment. I immediately noticed that everything was running slowly. Upon opening, a script runs that includes an import step from a SQL database using ODBC and takes about 20 seconds to complete. In single user mode on a network drive that same step takes less then a second to complete. I then noticed that all of my scripted finds take very long to complete, like 25 seconds or so. Long enough to make the solution very painful to use. In single user mode those scripted finds happen instantly. By the way, If I perform the same find manually on the server …

We are running FMS13, opening with FM14. Few weeks ago, I could have sworn I made several changes ( and I know to save my work ). A few hours later, I noticed something I did wasn't there so I made the same change again and then a bit later, I noticed that it wasn't a slip of my memory - that nothing I had done for past several hours was in the graph or layouts although my notes about it was in the script comment (changelog)! I signed out of FM and reopened the file ( open remote ) and my work WAS there! It happened again this weekend and the only thing I noticed last night was that I could no longer right-click to select conditional formatting on labels. I signed ou…

For a couple of years I've been running FMS on a mac mini. In the last two days the machine has gone "deaf" three times. Completely incommunicado. No network, and more significantly, no BlueTooth. This requires a hardware shut down and start up to fix. As we all know this is risky business for served files. Thankfully I'm the only user. Unfortunately it just happened again and I'm two hours from my office. The machine is clean. Nothing has changed in terms of configuration or software. There's no software on it other than FMS 13 and the usual Mac OS stuff. I've come to the conclusion that the Mac Mini is not a reliable machine and that I should change to another machine. …

Hello, I have Server 13 running a number of files that are accessed by 25 client seats. All run without issues. I am now trying to access an SQL database using ODBC, and am confused by the instructions I've been reading within FM help, and FM Server help. I configured the ODBC driver I need at the server (Windows), and within the General Settings/ODBC/JDBC tab, the "Enable ODBC/JDBC" checkbox has been checked. But when I go back to FM13Adv on a client machine, and atempt to write a script with "Import Records", it asks for the ODBC driver, but there is none. The Server help indicates that if I have the ODBC driver installed on it, then there is no need to install on the…

Good Day, I'm evaluating the use of FileMaker server in our office. I primarily do all the coding on an office laptop, and I would like to be able to keep things in sync with the other computers in the office. FileMaker seems to keep the database in sync well, but I'm not sure how to handle all the peripheral scripts that we use to control other pieces of software and hardware. Is there a place in the file system that I can put these scripts that FileMaker will sync along with the database? Or do I need to go to a 3rd party syncing software? Regards, Ryan

My FileMaker database is cloud hosted and I accidentally removed the Extended Privilege access for the fmapp portion, now I can't access the file from the FileMaker Pro app on the computer using the Admin login, or any login, so I can't add the access back. I do have a backup but it's a day old and I worked on the program hours upon hours today. Is there any hope of being able to get back into the file or do I have to just the backup and redo all the work?

I've just upgraded my FMS (Windows 2008R2) from v13.0.1 to v13.0.5 (or whatever the latest is). I'm now finding the Web Console to be extremely slow, to a point where it'll easily take a few minutes to click on a tab to actually see a page beig displayed. Upgrade has been done in two steps (to v13.0.3 and then to v13.0.5 as indicated by FM) and I've also rebooted the box just to be sure. During installation no errors appeared. Before the console worked fine. Anybody else see this? Anything I can do to fix it?

This past Monday I pulled up the Admin console for one of our new FileMaker 13 servers and noticed that the status indicator next to âWeb Serverâ was greyed out and it was reporting that XML was disabled. It also reported that the Web Publishing Engine was not running and FileMaker WebDirect was disabled.  When I checked all of these services, they were running just fine. I was able to connect to WebDirect and our CWP pages were working. I've tried restarting both servers, but nothing changed. I can also change all of these settings in the Admin console (e.g. disable XML, stop the WPE) and they keep working.  Iâve tried running the Deployment Assista…

I have been reading through the documentation about installing FileMaker Server 13 on OSX. I only have one server at my location and that also runs my open directory and internal web services. Generally I use opendirectory groups for my soultion permissions. Going by the documentation I do not see a way to install FM Server 13 on this machine since by default Server.app uses ports 80 and 443 for it's own "Server" website. In the documentation on Page 72 it says my options are to configure the web services on Server.app to use different ports, I do not beleive this can be done, so the other option is to uninstall server.app, also not really an option... So if I g…

I am building a simple ODBC Import to report mechanism. In building the connection and pulling the data everything works. I ran the scheduled script on the server and for some unknown reason a specific field is not being pulled. I even ran the script via perform on server and I get the same missing field. I can't imaging how the server and the client can both pull data, but the result is different. Any one have an idea as to what is happening? Below is an example of both the client and server side scripts. The import script is exactly the same script run under both instances except, for the server side, I added a "Perform on Server" to trigger the script. As you can see…

Hi all, I need some help with script. Last weekend we migrated from 11 to 13 and as it turns out all our OLE objects are gone because of the change in FM 12. My workaround is to get the data from 11 and insert each one. with that said i was told i could create a script to open the attachment (excel, pdf) and in the case of the excel file make changes and then click another script to save changes to Excel. I believe the script would need to write to a temp file. Does anybody know any info on this. I'm starting to move the files from 11 to 13, but i would like to provide the users with the ability to click on a box so the attachment opens up. that way they …

Hello all, Another round of trying to make this work!! I have FM Server 13 in Windows 7 64bit box. I have configured System DNS in both 32 and 64 bit with the same name and NT Windows authentication I can create a file in FMPA13 in the FMS box and see my DNS, and pull data thru the Relation tables from my SQL server, I open the file without a password and I can see my SQLServer data. But, when I open the file hosted in the Server, it ask me for a password ?? it does not accept my Windows login so I have no idea what to put?? Any ideas? Thank you! Eva

I'm looking for ideas on how to speed up a networked Filemaker solution that I'm responsible for. At the moment parts of it are running quite slowly and the users are complaining. There is a mixture of Filemaker 12 and 13 clients, on both Windows and Mac. There is a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server which is hosting the file. This computer doesn't have any other duties. It's a normal FIlemaker Pro client rather than Server. In the usual working day, there is one client machine with the solution permanently open but rarely used, and another two that can have it open and be using it a little more intensively. 90% of the time there are just those two clients, and i…

The environment is Windows Server 2012, with FileMaker Server 13 v1x64. I've got a script that sends out an e-mail to multiple recipients. When I run the script through FileMaker Pro 13, it sends the e-mails with no issues. However, when I schedule the script to run, it fails. I had the schedule send me an e-mail after the task was done and got this: Looks like 1506 is an SMTP error, but I have no idea why it's failing when it's ran from the server but not from my local desktop. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I've been researching the feasibility of accessing Filemaker Server through ODBC/JDBC from PERL on Linux, and seem to have drawn a blank. There seem to be no Filemaker ODBC drivers for Linux. One article I found said that it is possible with JDBC, but before I start reading about that, I just wanted to check that it's definitely impossible to access FMS from PERL/Linux using ODBC. Many thanks,

Hi, Last week I got the dreaded "disk failing" warning on my 2011 Mac mini. I immediately copied all the files on the drive to an external drive. The entire disk. I also had a Time Machine backup from a few weeks ago. After adding some RAM and replacing the drive I did a Time Machine restore. Of course the FileMaker Server folder in the Library wasn't ever being backed up with TM. Neither was the Applications folder. All good since I still had the files on another drive, no? Well, no. I copied the FileMaker Server folder back to the Library and restarted. No FMS. Nothing in Activity Monitor as well. Granted there are a few more things I should do like repair perm…

When I try to run any script on the server I get the error "[FileName] is damaged and cannot be opened." However, FMServer is perfectly able to host the file, and users are able to access it remotely without problems. I was even able to close the file on server and manually open it using a client version on the host machine. No errors. I only get the error when I attempt to "Perform Script On Server." I performed a recovery on the file with no errors and got the message that the file was safe to use. However the problem continues.

Hi, I'm running FileMaker Server 13.0.9.905 on a Mac Mini (Late 2012, running OS X 10.10.3), and connecting with FileMaker Pro 13.0v5 running on an iMac. I have recently been experiencing a problem where the client is being disconnected from the server after a very short idle time, for instance 10 or 15 minutes. The server was originally set up with the "Set maximum idle time..." option unchecked. When the problem started occurring, I set that option to allow a maximum time of 720 minutes ( 12 hours ), but the client is still being disconnected after about 15 minutes idle time. The server status actually says "Client [client details] no longer responding; connection cl…

I am wondering how globals are treated when running a Perform Script On Server. I know the user that 'starts' the script is the logged in user / account when running the script, so the security permissions are used but are globals independent for each PSOS 'session' or do they carry forward for multiple PSOS scripts? An example might be better to illustrate my questions ... 1) a user runs a script that runs on server 'PSOS' that is set to NOT wait for completion, and in that script some globals are set, then various functions are run 2) the same user immediately runs a different script PSOS that is again not set to wait for completion and this script works with the sa…

I host FMS 13 on a Mac Mini. Twice in the last two weeks the machine has gone completely deaf. Unfortunately both times I was out of town without direct access to the machine. Here's my worry. When I get back to town I find that of course I can't access any databases. Nor can I access the Admin Console either locally or remotely. BlueTooth is also not available. So there's absolutely no access to the machine. A hard manual restart is the only way to resume communication. I know this is a very bad idea. however there isn't an alternative. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm beginning to think that it's not the right machine. The OS is obviously not sufficiently robu…

My server administrator has denied my request for more than 4Gb of RAM on a machine that is serving as machine #2 in a 2 machine deployment of FileMaker Server 13. I anticipate we will need more than 4Gb of RAM based off of FileMaker Inc.'s recommended (and minimum) RAM amounts. The server admin would like to see a test conducted so that I can basically prove this machine needs more resources. (yes, I know, I'm not sure why the FileMaker, Inc. minimum specs should not be sufficient justification!) Could someone recommend a good way to stress test the WebDirect engine by simulating multiple connections? Would it be possible/advisable to run some sort of looping script a…

I have designed a solution that is shared over a network that I remotely oversee. My client has witnessed frequent loss of client connection, and I see it myself about once a day when I log in remotely. Losing connection is an issue in itself which I've been researching. But what I'd like your opinion about is a related issue. Several staff members swear that on a few occasions when they lose their connection that they also lost some of their work. I've viewed this a spurious claim because of the nature of FM. Sure, I, conceded, you might lose the work in one field but I haven't seen it as possible to lose more than that. Am I wrong? Is it possible in a networ…

Hi all, I’m trying to execute a shell script from a FileMaker Server schedule. FM 13 and MacOSX Server 10.8. It’s a simple script to put a message in the syslog to test. Running from the Terminal app works fine but from within FM Server it doesn’t seem to kick off (no error messages anywhere I can find). Things to consider: - MacOSX Server 10.8 and FileMaker Server 13 - File is in the right location (/Library/FileMaker Server/Date/Scripts/) as I'm able to select it when creating the schedule - fmserver is the owner and fmsadmin is the group of the .sh file - I’ve tried permissions of 755 and 777 - File contents (following 2 lines): #!/bin/bash…

Hi there, We're using a FM database through an externally hosted service (triple8) which is accessed from a number of locations across the country. I currently have a situation where we are viewing a report that can contain 1200+ records in a filtered portal and each time the filtered is triggered it can take as long as 30 seconds for the screen to refresh and scrolling down the list is painfully slow. I've tried a list view instead and performance for filtering is improved significantly but scrolling down the list is still slow (not as slow as the portal though) - the issue is viewing it in list view poses a whole heap coding challenges as we have a parent ch…

This is a straightforward plea for advice. The Win7 terminal where we installed FMS in 2011 is finally not up to the task - after the recent updates to IIS and ARR (and FMS), it opens and hosts my databases but refuses to serve the XML feed that powers one page of our Web site. It was always underpowered, so I don't have any complaint. When we put it in, this was an experiment, so we didn't pay much. After four years, though, the library director is convinced of the value of the product, so we're looking for a new terminal that will run FMS 13.0 v5 today. We're still a public library, which means we don't have a ton of money, and our needs are relatively modest (b…

I am responsible for a solution hosted by FMS13 running on a mac mini server, located remotely in a place that I get to physically only once a week or less. Users mostly access files using FMGo, either in the same physical location as the server over wifi, or remotely using cellular data. I would like to be able to test whether fms13 is actually serving filemaker files, on a regular basis, so I can an early warning if something is not working. Last week I did the FMS upgrade from 13.0.4 to 13.0.5, and my database has stopped providing an XML feed that worked for a a few years (and that powers one portion of my organization's Web site). I'm going to append all the information that might be pertinent. First, what I've already done: - I've Edited Deployment, asking it to enable XML. (First asked it to turn off Web Publishing, then a second pass to turn it on again.) I've then gone into Web Publishing and asked it to enable WebDirect and PHP (just wondering is that would kick-start a process). - I've run iisreset /noforce from the Windows command line. - I've rebooted. Also, I have a static IP o…

I've been checking out PSOS but have yet to use it. I suppose any concerns about whether a file is local or hosted could be resolved with something along the lines of: If(Get(HostName)) PSOS etc. Else Perform Script etc. That way if a file isn't hosted the script would run locally. Sequence: 1. Sync from Spoke ( File A ) to Hub ( File B ) 2. MirrorSync customization script on the hub ( File B ) has conditions in the "DidUpdate" and "DidInsert" sections which makes a PSOS call to a script ( File B ) which processes that record telling it not to wait for completion. This allows the process to run asynchronous, and allow for a faster sync. 3. The last step of the script running under the PSOS process is Perform Script of a script in a second file ( File C ). I'm having trouble using an iSCSI drive as a place for backups. FMS13 sees it as a remote volume, not internal drive. When I attempt to "verify" the path to the D: folder, nothing happens. Can't verify, can't save. I can only revert. Essentially I have the server software on the C: drive and I want to use the D: drive as a place for backups. Has anyone out there been successful using an iSCSI drive for nightly backups? I have verified permission on the folder on the D: drive that I want to use as storage. FMS13.x.5, Windows Server 2012 Thanks in advance
